Outdoors Blogging reaches critical mass; OutdoorsBlogger.com announces 12 new blogs in October

Roswell, GA (PRWEB) November 10, 2007

From Breckenridge to Arkansas, and Georgia to Idaho, OutdoorsBlogger.com is starting to get around. The new blogs include Stuck in the Rut, Idaho Fishin’ Times, Outdoor Heritage Keeper, Bike Run Guy, and Breckenridge Snow Blog to name a few. A couple aren’t actually new blogs, just new to OutdoorsBlogger… the secret is out that writers can take their content from WordPress.com and Blogger.com, among others, and upload it to their new blog. The outdoors blogging network now boasts over two-dozen blogs, all networked together with common tags, a post map, and a directory.

While blogging used to be considered a frightening, tech related activity, explosive growth is rapidly making it a mainstream means of communication. It’s not just writers who are taking notice, readership has doubled month after month since launching in August. It is expected to grow at a quickening pace as conservation organizations, gear shops, and clubs catch on to the idea. Developer and outdoors enthusiast Wade Sonenberg explained, “We hope to give outdoors types an easy, yet powerful platform in which to write, share, and promote their activities and organizations. I think allowing like minds to come together in one place helps everybody get found in the ever increasing vastness of the internet.”

OutdoorsBlogger.com offers unlimited blogs to members free of charge, provided they cover outdoors sports such as hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing/snowboarding, climbing, backpacking, and kayaking, etc. OutdoorsBlogger.com places none of its own ads on member blogs, but allows bloggers to place their own ads through Google Adsense and private placement. OutdoorsBlogger is based on WordPress, offering most of the robust, easy to use functionality found in the world’s most popular blogging software.
