San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 12, 2007
Vizu Corporation, a leader in providing free web polls and do-it-yourself market research, today announced the addition of vote maps to its poll results. The launch of Vizu vote maps concludes a series of redesign initiatives that resulted in a registration conversion increase of 69%.
“Like chocolate and peanut butter, polls and maps just go together,” says Vizu CEO, Dan Beltramo. The new interactive vote maps are a mashup powered by Google and allow Vizu users to see exactly where votes are being cast. The color-coded responses can be viewed from a world view all the way down to the zip code level. “Our users are curious by nature so adding maps to our polls was a natural fit for Vizu,” added Beltramo.
The Vizu free poll widget lets users create customized web polls and put them on sites, blogs or social networking pages. The polls are compatible with major blog platforms such as Blogger, TypePad and WordPress as well as popular social networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook and Friendster.
The implementation of Vizu vote maps capped off a month of redesign development which also included user interface improvements and integration of Gigya’s Wildfire which allows one click posting of polls to social networks and blogs. These efforts produced a 69% increase in registration conversion, fulfilling the goal of making it easier to create and export polls.
“Vote maps are sure to entertain and engage our users,” says Wetpaint CEO Ben Elowitz. “The implementation of vote maps is just another example of Vizu’s commitment to innovation and exemplifies why Wetpaint selected Vizu as our polling partner for our consumer-friendly Wiki platform.”
