Joomla Hosting Reviews (http://www.joomlahostingreviews.com), released their SiteGround Review. They offer a wide range of hosting services. The review was conducted by anonymously signing up for a hosting account and setting up a complete joomla website. This test site was monitored for several months for uptime and server speed.
According to the review, SiteGround did a good job with their customer signup form. Reviewer Steven Johnson, referred to signing up as “…painless with a straight forward signup and billing process”.
Like many other hosting providers, SiteGround uses cPanel and Softactulous. These tools allow users to create and manage Joomla and WordPress websites. cPanel also give you the ability to manage all of your domains and databases. The review was positive about the performance of their test Joomla site, calling it “responsive and moves quickly.”
Steven commented more about the speed and uptime saying, “We have been monitoring our SiteGround website for over a month and haven’t seen any problems. Our basic home page with 3000 or more words loads in .653 seconds. This speed is faster than a majority of shared server web hosting plans.”
The review concludes by giving credit to SiteGround for their speed and cPanel features. The editors were not as impressed with the support because of the inability to reach a technician easily regarding an FTP setup question. Following this criticism, they resolved that staying with SiteGround would be a good decision because of their personal ability to use SiteGrounds features and tools but would not expect beginner users to.
