MailChimp Integrates with Popular Content Management System

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 22, 2012

MailChimp today announced the release of modMailChimp, an integration with MODX Revolution 2.2+. MODX is a free, open source content management system that focuses on freedom of design and strong security. This new extra lets MODX users easily add MailChimp email list subscribe forms to their MODX sites.

MODX was originally released in 2007, and was upgraded in 2010 with the release of MODX Revolution. That release has been incrementally improved upon, and is now known as MODX Revolution 2.2+. The platform gives designers great flexibility and design options, and is simple enough that users don’t need to hire a developer or code any PHP to get started. MODX backs up this creative freedom with a scalable, technology-neutral framework and airtight security.

This integration with MailChimp allows users to put a MailChimp email list subscribe form anywhere on their site. Users can quickly get their form set up, fully customize its appearance, and pick which lists visitors can subscribe to. Once a site visitor fills out the form, their submitted information will be automatically pushed into the correct MailChimp email list.

Both MailChimp and MODX are premium services that are affordable for any organization. MODX doesn’t charge licensing fees, while MailChimp’s freemium plan allows users to host 2,000 contacts and send 12,000 emails per month completely for free. It also features a number of affordable monthly and pay-as-you-send plans to fit any user’s needs.

This plugin was developed by BigBlock Studios. “Simply put these are two extremely well designed systems that are friendly to developers, very easy to get up and running quickly and were a breeze to integrate,” says BigBlock’s Technical Director, Sean Kimball.

MODX has grown in popularity and competes with other CMS solutions such as WordPress and ExpressionEngine. It is used for hundreds of thousands of sites by small businesses, bloggers, agencies, and companies such as Bechtel and Complex Magazine, whose site complex.com is built on MODX and handles over 100 million page views a month.

  1. There is no Doubt in saying that WordPress is the King of all Content management Systems. As an open Source “Free” Web application CMS or in common words “Web site builder”, it lets users create powerful, Plug-in-innovated CMS platforms.
