Boston marketing, web design and video production firm Captains of Industry ( http://www.captainsofindustry.com ) designed and developed a new corporate website for Cogenra Solar ( http://www.cogenra.com ), a Khosla Ventures backed solar cogeneration company based out of Mountain View, California. The new site was designed to showcase Cogenras technology that allows for generating electricity and heating water with the same system.
Cogenra has developed an innovative technology which, after seeing the spectacular photography they had, is really quite beautiful, said Ted Page, co-founder and Creative Director at Captains of Industry. The finished website feels very modern and contemporary, while also demonstrating that the technology is proven.
In order to give Cogenra full control over the site, it was built on the flexible WordPress CMS. This means that Cogenra can continue to make updates, changes or additions to the site as needed, without the assistance (and added cost) of an outside web design firm.
Captains understands the needs of cleantech companies and made the entire web design and development process easy for us, said Preston Roper, CMO and VP of Corporate Development at Cogenra Solar. From consulting with us during our own logo development process to creating a beautiful design to teaching us how to use the CMS, they worked with us every step of the way to deliver a website we are proud of.
In addition to the design of the site, Captains of Industry also worked with Cogenra Solar to develop illustrated graphics that explained how solar cogeneration works, and what the benefits of the technology are.
