12seconds.tv Partners with Current TV and Flixwagon to Cover the US Presidential Election

Santa Cruz, CA (PRWEB) October 30, 2008

12seconds.tv, the video sharing site known for short form content, is partnering with Current TV and Flixwagon on Election Day to bring user generated content to millions of households worldwide. Current TV is a media company that works with its young adult audience to create and distribute media that informs, enriches and inspires, and Flixwagon is a live mobile broadcasting provider. 12seconds.tv is known for its twelve-second limitation on all videos that greatly lowers the barrier for consumers to share thoughts, moments and activities, and also makes it easy for viewers to consume content.

On November 4th, Current TV will receive a feed of all election-related content from 12seconds that will be incorporated in Current’s election coverage. Beginning 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on election night Current will bring the best of the Web to television with a real-time stream of the most important results, facts and information, creating a comprehensive newsfeed that gives viewers a completely new way to experience election night.

“We want to feel the pulse of the election so we’re asking our 12ers armed with mobile phones and webcams to document their experiences on Election Day,” says Sol Lipman, 12seconds Co-Founder. “We hope to gather content from parties, experience the emotions and hear plenty of opinions.”

12seconds members submit video using webcams, mobile phones and now through the live streaming service Flixwagon. Flixwagon provides high-quality live video broadcasting from mobile phones to the Web and TV. Flixwagon users who link their account with 12seconds will have the first twelve seconds of their content published to 12seconds.tv. This content will then also be available on Current.

12seconds.tv was founded by a team of passionate entrepreneurs, developers and designers. It is based in Santa Cruz, CA.
