MeasurementMedia Announces New Three New Information Web Sites

Southampton, PA (PRWEB) October 28, 2007

The MeasurementMedia Division of Temperatures.com, Inc., a leading provider of measurement-related websites, has expanded MeasurementDevices.com into three new web sites to broaden the scope, yet focus on specialty areas in online industry & science measurement news &directories of information resources.

The forerunner site, MeasurementDevices.com (http://www.MeasurementDevices.com) has been building its resource directories for nearly three years and its news archives of daily news stories for the past two years. It became evident that there was too much information on the site and the split added three additional websites.

Left in place was searchable news archive of new product and company news. The requirement to register to submit PR or news was dropped, however, new vendor directory submissions still need a no-charge registration.

(PRWEB) October 28, 2007 — Measurement Databases (MeasurementDB.com) indexes available databases and measurement resources including R&D news stories. It features free R&D news publishing; registered users may also contribute resource links on specific measurement device technologies and related resources such as technical calculators, conversion aids, materials properties and more.

(Note to PR and Engineering Staffs – Don’t hide your white papers, online tools and technology tutorials in the depths of your seldom visited web pages waiting to be discovered. Post them on MeasurementDB.com and see them highlighted on their front page plus indexed in their free, browsable & searchable database!)

MeasurementMedia (MeasurementMedia.com) focuses on cataloging and making available information on Meetings related to industry and science measurements, publications and technical societies, standards and education & training resources.

Organizations may post their Calls for Papers (CFPs) and special news on this site also at no cost and with no requirement to register. Registration is free and gives one the ability to submit related, permanent resource information, such as a new journal or training organization or details of a newly published standard.

MeasurementBlog.com is a special weblog (blog) site for sharing thoughts and comments, including respectful rants on measurement in Industry & Science, and new technologies of interest in all aspects of measurement including education. It is very open and user-friendly, based on popular WordPress blogging software.

Some recent post have included videos on graphing calculators, a tutorial on mirror ray-tracing and the use of social media in science education. All are invited to have a look and feel free to comment or submit. No cost, no obligation, just sharing, the way the Web was intended!

About MeasurementMedia Division

MeasurementMedia was formed in 2006 as the web publishing division within Temperatures.com, Inc. to focus on creation of user-friendly, educational and news reporting websites dealing with the many aspects of technology, practices and resources of measurement in Industry & Science.

Its role is to take the lessons learned from the initial websites in the group (see below) and expand them to all types of measurement-related areas in Industry & Science.

Temperatures.com’s founder had purchased the web addresses for MeasurementDevices.com back in 1998 when it became apparent that the Web was going to be the next big thing. The site lay dormant for several years and was given a boost in 2004 and has grown dramatically.

About Temperatures.com, Inc.

Temperatures.com, Inc., initially begun as a consulting operation with a website, http://www.temperatures.com in 2001, quickly became a web information resource on temperature and humidity sensors and their uses. It developed three websites related to the subjects with both education, industry and news functions.

Besides the original website, the top ranked site on most Internet Search Engines, they also operate:

TempSensor.net, a user-friendly site with free, searchable self-service directories of sensor vendors and online technology resources. The latter are selected from submitted tutorials, white papers and online articles where they can help improve user competence in selecting and using sensors.

TempSensorNEWS.com and TemperatureSensorNEWS.com (the same site) was resurrected from the past depths of Temperatures.com, where it began as an eNewsletter.

Now it has taken over the news-only function from TempSensor.net and is also unique, in that any news source, a company, a technical society or even a hobbiest who knows of a news-worthy event related to temperature and humidity sensors may submit a story without need for registration or prior approval. All submissions are reviewed and are subject to edit and rejection.
