Menu International Provides Translation & Web Services to Hospitality Industry

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) August 21, 2009

A new firm called Menu International (http://www.menuintl.com) will provide translation, web and marketing services to restaurants, hotels and tourist bureaus targeting international markets for the hospitality industry.

Heading the company is a skilled veteran of the international hospitality field, Katrin Rippel, who previously founded and managed the respected MENU Translations & Services.

Menu International’s primary focus remains translations. Some examples: menus in French, catering contracts & rental agreements in Spanish, electronic signage into German, wedding invitation in Greek language, destination guides in Dutch, websites and booking service in Japanese.

Says Rippel, “To reach new customers, you’ve got to speak their language.” In addition to international visitors and guests, there are also local communities with translation needs as well as local “ethnic” markets.

The new Menu International website, http://www.menuintl.com, is a one-stop resource for language translation, international web marketing, and cultural understanding. “Communication is more than words, it’s a cultural system of transmitting information,” Rippel says. “That’s why we also offer consulting services, web design, and marketing strategies.”

Menu International’s inaugural clients include an online ordering system for a catering company, menu translations for a popular ethnic restaurant, and digital signage for an international cruise company.

The website is complemented by a blog, menuinternational.wordpress.com, written by Rippel and guest contributors, that discusses cross-cultural challenges.

To implement the requirements of its diverse clientele, Menu International employs a network of language and technology specialists. The company also maintains close relationships with restaurant chefs, hotel managers and food critics around the world.

Katrin Rippel developed a deep appreciation for multilingual communication during 15 years of front-line customer service in the food and hospitality industry in her native Germany, in France, and in North America. She then completed rigorous training in language translation and international software and website applications.

She created MENU Translations & Services in 2005, which has now evolved into Menu International, to offer integrated language and Internet marketing services to the food and hospitality industry.
