Bizzuka Enters "Blogosphere" with New Blog Component

Lafayette, LA (PRWEB) May 26, 2008

Bizzuka, Inc, a provider of component-based Web and intranet solutions, today announced the release of its new blog component, the latest addition to Bizzuka’s library of over 120 components in the proprietary OnDeCC Web content management platform.

“Over the past couple of years, blogging has worked its way up to being one of the most powerful tools a business can add to its marketing strategy. It’s becoming increasingly common to visit a corporate Web site and see a blog associated with it,” said Bizzuka CEO John Munsell. “Given the participatory nature of the Web and the sound business case for a blog, we felt it was imperative to provide a fully integrated blogging solution to our clients.”

The new component contains features similar to more well-known blog platforms:

Categorized content
RSS feeds at both site and category levels
Social media sharing via sites like Digg, del.icio.us, Technorati and Facebook
Comment moderation
Prurient word filtering
Tell-a-friend
Multi-media file embedding
Multiple format file attachment
WYSIWYG and HTML editing

“We did a great deal of research in preparation for the development of the blog component,” said Shannon Lynd, Senior Vice-President of Product Development. “While it was not our intent to supplant major blog platforms such as Blogger, WordPress or Movable Type, we wanted to better serve our clients’ needs by providing them with a state-of-the-art blog component that was seamlessly integrated with their Web site.”

The first Bizzuka customer to utilize the new component is Cox Greater Louisiana, the Louisiana subsidiary of Cox Communications.

“The Cox Web site and blog will enable us to offer our perspectives on technology and have an open dialogue with the community,” said Sharon Kleinpeter, Vice President of Governmental and Public Affairs for Cox Greater Louisiana. “The experts at Bizzuka convinced us of the value of a blog because of its two-way communication feature. It will enable our local customers to have conversations with Cox technology experts and we encourage the community to engage in conversation with us.”

Blog technology offers companies many business advantages, not the least of which is its ability to garner attention from search engines like Google. “Blogs also provide an ability to do something no other Web content management medium does, at least not as well: stimulate conversation,” said Bizzuka marketing director and veteran blogger Paul Chaney.

“Blog readers have the ability to comment on what has been written and have those comments appear on the site. They can ask questions, state opinions, tell stories or relate their particular point-of-view. Blogs enable dialog between a company and its customers or prospects, making the cultivation of a long-term relationship more plausible, he added”

Template Monster Introduces New Designs for Blogosphere

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) April 16, 2006

Template Monster, the largest website template provider on the Web, has started producing themes for WordPress the #1 open source blogging platform available today.

The new Template Monster themes are optimized for the latest 2.0.2 release of WordPress. Template Monster plans to enhance its WordPress themes in the future by adding sample AdSense blocks designed to match a particular theme to make it easier for bloggers to profit from their blogs.

We use WordPress for our corporate blog and liked WordPress software so much that we contributed five free themes to the WordPress community earlier this year, says David Braun, CEO of Template Monster. The free themes got great feedback and we have received many requests for new WordPress themes. That is why we decided to start a new product line. We are excited about this product as WordPress is a really great blogging platform and we see lots of opportunities where we can add value to it.

“We’re excited that TemplateMonster will be offering their professionally designed web site templates to the WordPress community. says Toni Schneider, CEO of Automattic, the parent company for WordPress. WordPress makes it easy for designers to create custom UI templates and for bloggers to integrate those templates into their blogs. TemplateMonster’s free sample templates have been well received by WordPress users and we look forward to working with TemplateMonster on the new template lines.
