Simple Website Creation Meets Simple Community Creation

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 8, 2010

Tal.ki, the embeddable forums service, announced today their first partnership with the fast growing, website creation service, Yola.com.

Tal.ki recently launched their embeddable forums services in April 2010 and have been growing at a rate of over 50 new communities per day. It is expected that this new partnership with double the rate of communities created.

Today’s announcement means that the millions of website creators on Yola.com can now add a community forum to their site in a matter of seconds. For a website creator, it’s as simple as ‘dragging and dropping’ the Tal.ki Forums plugin from the Advanced Widgets toolbar directly onto their page. The forum will automatically match the colors and layout of the page. Paul Bragiel, Tal.ki’s CEO said “Today’s partnership with Yola.com will lead to the next generation of social interactivity on individually created websites.”

Tal.ki forums are unique in that once added to a website, they make it very easy for visitors to join and start participating in a conversation. Unlike typical forums, visitors do not need to create a new account profile, instead, they choose to login with their favorite social networking service, such as facebook, twitter, google, yahoo, wordpress, and a handful of other providers.

A Tal.ki forum allows a website owner to instanly add community functionality to their website. While there are many existing collaboration tools, from wikis, to blogs, to tweets, a forum still serves the unique experience of online community discussion. Where any member has the ability to start a new topic of conversation and generate a discussion from the rest of the community. This is opposed to the top-down approach through blogs and commenting systems for visitors.

Features available in this partnership:

An Easy-to-use Admin Panel embedded directly into the website
Private and Public forums
Email Notifications on new replies
Automatic Security Patches and upgrades
Permalinking support for sharing topics easily between members
Traditionally forum BBCode posting
Uploading images and embedding other media, such as video.

MarkdownMail Application for IOS Devices Integrates with MailChimp for Campaign Creation On the Go With iPhones and IPads

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 26, 2011

MarkdownMail, a popular iPhone/iPad app, announced today that the newest release includes the option to send content directly into MailChimp, providing a true on-the-go platform for MailChimp subscribers to create and edit content. Created by Second Gear, a Mac and iOS development firm based out of Carmel IN, the updated MarkdownMail app is a new integration supported by MailChimps $ 1 million fund supporting the development of integrations with its platform.

The idea behind launching the MailChimp Integration Fund this past November was simple: We basically want to help small startups with small, paying projects. Projects that involve integrating their apps with the MailChimp API, explains says Ben Chesnut, Co-founder and CEO of MailChimp. Third party integrations are an important part of who we are and we hope effective integrations like MarkdownMail will encourage other businesses to follow suit.

Providing a new way to bring content in from an iOS device, MarkdownMail is integrated with MailChimp so users can compose HTML content on their iPhones, iPod touches and iPads and send it directly to their MailChimp accounts as a new campaign. Available for $ 3.99 through the iTunes App Store, MailChimp is offering a credit for MailChimp users who download and use the app and use it within thirty days.

MarkdownMail uses MailChimp’s Objective-C wrapper, ChimpKit, to interact email campaign data. This open source library allows iOS developers to connect their apps seamlessly to MailChimp’s API. Thousands of developers already use MailChimp to stay in touch with customers. Now, ChimpKit helps them build their list right inside of the app.

The MailChimp Integration Fund is now accepting applications from anyone interested in building an integration on the MailChimp platform. Possible categories for development range from sign-up modules to more complex data sharing. Development can also focus on increasing the utility of an existing integration or plugin. Interested parties should complete a short form online at http://www.mailchimp.com/about/integration-fund to begin the application process. Funds will be applied on a per-project basis and the amount of funds allocated to any one project will be determined based on the requirements of each specific project.
