Amazon Consulting Unveils The Ecosystem of the Cloud, A Two-Part Series on the Channel Implication of Cloud Computing

Mountain View, Calif. (Vocus) May 18, 2010

What started as an ex-Oracle executive designing a simpler way to deliver customer relationship management software at Salesforce.com is now an IT revolution — Cloud Computing. Amazon Consulting, a leading partnering services firm dedicated to helping companies elevate the impact of partnering, just published two thought leadership briefs titled, ”The Ecosystem of the Cloud.” To access this two-part series analyzing the channel implications of cloud computing, go to http://www.amazonconsulting.com . On June 17th at 9am PST, Amazon Consulting will host a free webinar with cloud-savvy industry leaders to further discuss this cloud computing channel analysis.

After interviewing leading vendors and more than a dozen solution providers who are deeply invested in the success of this new technology delivery model, we packaged some thought provoking insights about the critical role of channel partners to share with the industry, said Amazon Consulting President and CEO Diane Krakora.

Driven by constrained budgets and the rise of virtualization, worldwide spending on cloud services is projected to grow almost threefold to US$ 42B by 2012. Despite the security and data integrity concerns of public cloud implementations, leading cloud and SaaS players are gaining customers and marketshare in all sectors. However, many have questioned the future role of indirect channels in advancing and implementing cloud-based services. ”The Ecosystem of the Cloud” discusses the implications of this trending technology into the role and business models of the IT channel.

We think its important to address the market fear, uncertainty and doubt around the role of indirect channel partners in the cloud space. Not only will ISVs, SIs and even some resellers not be disintermediated, but their roles in evangelizing cloud computing will be more important than ever, said Beth Vanni, Amazon Consultings Direct of Market Intelligence. Both the webinar and thought leadership briefs tackle such issues as, what are the emerging roles for cloud-savvy solution providers, what are the blended business models of successful cloud integrators, how are solution providers making money and what are the critical support requirements solution providers have of vendors, said Vanni.

Join us for ”The Ecosystem of the Cloud” discussion at our upcoming webinar on June 17th at 9 a.m. PST. You can register on our site at Cloud Webinar – Register.

Learning Research, Inc. Building Learning App Ecosystem

Austin, TX (PRWEB) March 06, 2012

eDoorways International Corporation (pk: EDWY.PK – News) announced today a lean startup development program by its subsidiary Learning Research Inc. (LRI) to bring its proprietary adaptive learning technology to the world of mobile devices. Under the stewardship of its new CEO Dr. Robert B. Wesson, LRI will follow the lead of Apple Inc. to create a completely new ecosystem for creating, building, validating, marketing and executing mobile-centric educational and knowledge-sharing modules. A video of Dr. Wesson’s announcement can be seen at LearningResearchInc.com.

Four years ago there was not an app for that, Dr. Wesson said, and programmers were still high priests who spoke in a language no one else could understand. Today, my kids can build a website or a mobile app using drag-and-drop tools inside sophisticated integrated development environments. Once theyre built, they can be instantly uploaded and marketed via the App Store, producing potentially huge royalty income for both the author and the App Store owner. And anyone with a mobile device can enjoy them at incredibly low cost.

We intend to field such an ecosystem for learning apps, Dr. Wesson continued, building from the core LRI technology we just acquired from eDoorways. Educators from professors to virtually anyone with specialized knowledge will be able to use the online LRI toolkit to build a learning app that adapts to the needs and ability of its user, then submit it to eDoorways App Store for sale and distribution, where it can be bought and executed on a wide range of mobile devices, from tablets to phones to iPods. Naturally, eDoorways and LRI will almost immediately see new sources of revenue from every step of this ecosystem, all derived from experts (but not programmers) who desire nothing less than to share their knowledge with users willing to pay a little something to learn it.

LRI expects to demonstrate a minimum viable product (MVP) prototype of its new learning technology ecosystem in a few months, and will be in stealth mode until then to accomplish its ambitious mission.
