MailChimp Announces Expanded Zendesk Integration

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 20, 2012

MailChimp today announced an expanded integration with Zendesk, a major online support desk solution. The new integration helps support team members manage and keep track of how customers have interacted with MailChimp email campaigns, all from within Zendesk.

This information is accessed alongside all the other information Zendesk has aggregated regarding a customers history or support ticket. The additional data gives a support team member using Zendesk a better picture of what communications the customer has received and how theyve interacted with them. Agents can also immediately subscribe or unsubscribe a customer from any of the company’s MailChimp email lists without leaving the Zendesk platform.

Zendesk is a web-based support desk solution. It is used by over 15,000 companies including OpenTable, Sears, Groupon, and Dropbox. Zendesk allows companies to scale their support desk as needed, track support team efficiency, and improve the customer support experience. It is comprehensive, integrates with others, and is simple to customize. It also can manage a multi-channel customer support system, which is where MailChimp comes in.

Currently, Zendesk support team members can assist customers via twitter, live chat, phone, email, and more. They coordinate these different channels within the Zendesk interface and can share all relevant customer information between support team members. And since it’s an online based solution, Zendesk can be accessed anywhere.

Expanded MailChimp Integration with Magento Shopping Cart

(PRWEB) May 03, 2011

MailChimp today announced the release of a new, expanded plugin for the popular open-source eCommerce platform Magento. The new plugin, MailChimp Pro Sync, enhances the functionality of MailChimps previous order tracking plugin for Magento by giving users greater control and analysis of their email campaigns and how those campaigns affect online sales.

The new Magento plugin was developed by ebizmarts and is offered free of charge from the Magento Commerce site: http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/ebizmarts/extension/1208/ebizmarts-mail-chimp-module

The MailChimp Magento Plugin allows businesses to track their customers from subscription to purchase. It lets businesses know who has followed links in their campaigns and alerts businesses as to when a customer completes a purchase, while providing details as to what exactly the customer bought and for how much. This allows for an accurate measure of email campaign ROI that MailChimp aggregates and displays as part of the user’s MailChimp campaign report. This new plugin also adds ebizmarts’ existing MailChimp Pro for Magento plugin, which features cross platform subscriber synchronization between MailChimp and Magento, ensuring that a business’ newsletter subscription list is always up to date.

The true strength of this plugin lies in the two services it combines. Magento is the internet’s fastest growing commerce platform; it allows a high degree of scaling and customization and continues to lengthen its impressive list of features as market demands evolve. A MailChimp integration means users have all of Magento’s commercial tools, systems, and services, coupled with MailChimp’s email technology platform.

This new plugin has been developed in tandem with ebizmarts http://ebizmarts.com, which will oversee the plugin’s growth and expansion of the already robust eCommerce360 integration. Based in Uruguay, ebizmarts provides a variety of services to eBusiness owners, specializing in Magento and SagePay.

Atlanta, GA MailChimp today announced the launch of Joomlamailer, a new integration for the popular Joomla! platform. With this new integration, Joomla! users can manage their MailChimp lists, create campaigns and manage reports all from the comfort of their Joomla! dashboard. This is the first extensive integration with a CMS essentially replicating most of the MailChimp web-based features in a 3rd party site.

Joomla! is one of the internet’s most popular content management systems, powering almost 2.7% of all websites today. It’s a flexible, open source digital publishing solution, that requires no advanced technical knowledge to implement or operate. It’s free to install and is easily tweaked to meet individual needs through its thousands of third party applications or via its developer-friendly framework.

The fourth graduate of MailChimp’s Integration Fund http://mailchimp.com/about/integration-fund/, Joomlamailer was spearheaded by freakedout.de, with support from Standingcloud, Simplweb, Jomsocial, and Joomlashack University. The integration can be downloaded here: http://www.joomlamailer.com/ The site also includes helpful tutorial videos.

Joomlamailer allows users to access an array of MailChimp’s tools and abilities within the Joomla! interface. They can design or import their own templates, easily handle subscriptions and registrations across platforms, manage and import lists across platforms, re-appropriate site content for e-mail use, create and track campaigns, and then easily check MailChimp campaign reports. Joomlamailer also includes MailChimp’s Analytics360 plugin, originally developed for WordPress, which cleanly displays Google Analytics and MailChimp analysis within users’ Joomla! install. Joomlamailer features a multitude of third-party integrations of its own, including SugarCRM, Highrise, K2, and Jomsocial, giving users a breadth of options for the expansion and customization of the Joomla! and MailChimp e-mail marketing process.

MailChimp Announces Expanded Drupal Integration

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 28, 2011

MailChimp today announced a new integration with the Drupal Content Management System as part of the MailChimp Integration Fund. This comprehensive addition to Drupal brings MailChimp’s feature set directly into the Drupal user interface. Now Drupal owners can also send transactional emails using MailChimps STS solution.

This integration was developed by ThinkShout, and represents a full reworking of their 4-year-old MailChimp plugin for Drupal 6. The Drupal 7 incarnation is the result of a complete redesign that takes full advantage of updates to Drupal’s features and API, along with updates to MailChimp’s API during the intervening 4 years.

After install, there’s just a quick user MailChimp API key input, and the integration is ready to go. It supports an unlimited amount of mailing lists, anonymous user signup, increased subscription options (such as signup during site registration), and support for MailChimp’s Simple Transactional Solution that allows for sending and tracking email via Amazon SES within Drupal. MailChimp STS overlays MailChimp’s tracking and interface on Amazon’s Simple Email Service, so users benefit from Amazon’s reliable delivery and massive scale, all channeled through MailChimp’s familiar interface. The front end is all MailChimp, and the back end is a lot of Amazon, and users can do it all within Drupal. This plugin also features a complete User Interface overhaul that unclutters workspace and makes it easier to work with individual lists, while managing the plugin’s newly expanded list support. This module will continue to expand its features per user feedback, and compliments the array of features Drupal already offers to users.

Drupal is a completely customizable and scalable CMS solution that stresses its constantly growing list of plugins and modules. It both free and open source, and has become that much more complete by adding full email management via MailChimp. It is designed with point and click users in mind, but is a framework from which developers have added over 6,000 additions to its core features. It is fully scalable, supporting single user blogs up to large scale enterprises. Users of Drupal include popular brands, MTV UK and Warner Brothers Records, brainy brands, The Economist and Popular Science, and even brainier brands, MIT and Harvard.

This plugin will be continuously maintained by ThinkShout and supported by MailChimp. ThinkShout are planning a series of expansions that include Analytics 360 support, campaign creation from within Drupal, and E-Commerce 360 integration.

MailChimp and Shopify Integration Expanded

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 20, 2011

MailChimp today announced an updated version of Chimpified, the official MailChimp integration for the Shopify platform. Shopify is a shopping cart solution that provides an easy setup for users looking to add an attractive online store to their website. Chimpified has served as a bridge between this commerce app and MailChimp’s email service, giving users greater control over their commercial email campaigns. This new release features better customer syncing from Shopify to MailChimp, expanded tracking options, more robust customer migration to MailChimp lists, more efficient campaign creation, and expanded security.

With Chimpified’s customer syncing, as soon as an order is placed in a user’s Shopify store, that customer is added (with their permission of course) to the mailing list of choice in MailChimp. MailChimps static segments then make it easy for Shopify store owners to finely tune their customer targeting, making sure emails are relevant to maximize customer satisfaction and the store’s return on investment. Chimpified customer migration feature lets users easily move existing customers from Shopify to MailChimp, expanding email marketing possibilities to pre-existing customers. This transfer can also be scheduled, ensuring the MailChimp list is always up-to-date with its Shopify counterpart while allowing for further segmented campaigns– for example, if someone is a first time buyer, let them know you’re excited to have them with a quick email auto-responder. Customer syncing and migration ensure lists are always coordinated between Shopify and MailChimp.

MailChimp’s eCommerce 360 advanced tracking options give Shopify users insight into customer behavior, displaying campaign sales and email conversion information. eCommerce360 captures product level purchases made as a result of an email campaign. The new release of Chimpified automatically adds all Shopify purchases including purchases generated independent from an email campaign. Now all purchase information is available in MailChimp making it easy to send relevant followup messages based on previous purchases.

Chimpified’s new campaign creator streamlines the email creation process, letting Shopify users easily pick a product in their store and add it to to any MailChimp email template. The email campaign includes the Shopify image, product description and link back to the Shopify site for purchase. The user then finalizes the email within the MailChimp environment, utilizing MailChimp’s advanced tracking and sharing options. There’s also full email template customization, allowing consistent branding for every campaign.

The plans are all reasonably priced, starting at Free. The Free Plan features MailChimp syncing, easy customer migration, and SSL security. The Basic Plan ($ 5 per month) adds eCommerce 360 tracking, while the Plus Plan ($ 10 per month) also includes campaign composition and recurring customer migration. Chimpified users start with a 30-day trial period with access to all of the features, after which users can choose to purchase the Basic or Plus Plan, or revert to the Free Plan.

All it takes to install Chimpified is a Shopify account, a MailChimp account, and a quick trip to chimpified.com (or the Shopify app store Link–http://apps.shopify.com/chimpified). Once at Chimpified, users should click the login button, they will then be prompted to login to their Shopify account to approve the connection, after which they will be sent back to the Chimpified site. They then click to connect with their MailChimp account, login, and then are good to go. There’s no need for an API entry as it’s all done with OAuth in this new release.

Chimpified was developed by Terra Firma Design & Consulting. This app is one of several MailChimp plugins for eCommerce, others include integrations with Magento, PrestaShop, osCommerce, and ZenCart.
