Feedster Launches Developer Network with iPod Giveaway

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 8, 2004

Feedster, Inc., a rapidly growing Internet RSS search engine that provides easy access to relevant and up-to-date information for both consumers and web service developers, today announced the launch of its developer network and contest for best new applications and uses for its technology.

“To show our appreciation for the efforts developers put forth to conceive new and innovative uses for Feedster’s Search applications, we created a contest with a meaningful reward,” said Scott Johnson, VP Engineering. “I am often amazed by the ideas that are conceived as extensions or new applications to our technology. I hope this contest will provide added incentive for new ideas.”

iPods will be awarded to the winners for the best use of Feedster in the following categories: standalone RSS aggregator, Web application, invoking a specific category (i.e. jobs.feedster.com), tutorial for RSS newbies, advanced search documentation, Safari extension, Firefox extension, Thunderbird extension, with a publishing engine like TypePad or WordPress. iPods will also be given for winners of the oddest use of Feedster and a wildcard for the overall favorite application.

Winners will become Founding Members of the Feedster Developer Network, listed prominently in the directory with links to their winning entries and web sites. More information about the contest is posted on Scott Johnson’s blog.

The field is not limited to new development. In fact, applications that have already been submitted to http://www.feedsterhacks.com are qualified for consideration. Feedster Hacks is a weblog and directory for the various hacks that have been created with Feedster. A hack can include a boookmarklet, an advanced search mechanism, or even a useful way of using Feedster for RSS and blog search. Steven M. Cohen of librarystuff.net independently launched http://www.feedsterhacks.com recently to create a directory and central repository for new extensions and uses for Feedster’s search applications.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 26, 2012

iPod Speaker Reviews (http://www.ipodspeakerreviews.com), has just released their review of the iHome iD50. After a period of trial and testing, the editors found the iD50 to be a great speaker system. They used it as a speakerphone, talked about sound quality, design and app enhancements.

The review goes into detail about the Bluetooth capability saying As soon as it was done pairing, we could play music from the iPhone, iPod, iPad or any bluetooth device. No problem. When a person calls the phone it will ring through the speakerphone and if the Talk button is pressed the call will be answered with the iD50 mic and speaker.

Sound Quality was also reviewed by iPod Speaker Reviews. The review described it as Nice & Clear with a good range. The sound is impressive for its size. It goes on to say that the system gets plenty loud at only half of its maximum volume.

When it comes to design the review called the iD50 …Sleek and modern. Mentioning that it has a …big bright clock in the front… and all of the buttons are easy to reach on the top of the device. The iD50 has a dock which is spring loaded so that iPhones, iPods and iPads can all be used. Dock inserts are not required which simplifies use.

iHome builds most of their devices to use apps from the iTunes store. The iHome+Sleep app enhances the iD50 by adding lots of alarm options. The iHome+Radio app provides access to hundreds of online radio stations that can played through the iD50.

Editor, David Blane, said, I continue to use the ID50 at my desk. It worked so well during testing that I kept it connected to my computer for use as the audio device. Also, I use the speakerphone when someone calls which is nice. It is easy to use and sounds great.
