Plano, TX (PRWEB) August 6, 2010

Crossvale Inc. (http://www.crossvale.com), a leading provider of tailored integration, automation and portal solutions, today announced that it has become a platinum sponsor of OpenCamp, the Southwests first multi-platform web conference, being held August 27-29.

Since its founding in 2001, Crossvale has been an active user of open source platforms. Continuing its dedication to open and collaborative computing, Crossvales financial sponsorship of the volunteer-run conference will help educate and foster a sense of community for open source enthusiasts.

Although the road of innovation is often a bumpy ride, it almost always leads to greater value and increased performance for the customer, to which Crossvale has been, and I am personally, committed, Crossvale President Jason Sharp said. The organizers and volunteers putting on this conference are some of the greatest innovators today, and this is an opportunity for Crossvale to give back to the open source community..

In addition to sponsoring OpenCamp, Crossvales Sharp will be leading a session on Multi-Departmental Authoring in Drupal on Sunday August 29th at 2:30pm. OpenCamps seminars will cover a broad range from social media to technical development, and will be guided by some of the most experienced practitioners in the country. The conference will provide tremendous benefits to its participants. For those who are trying to learn the basics of the webs leading edge, and for those who are reaching for mastery, there is no better value for your training dollar than OpenCamp.

We want to call out and thank the co-organizers, including John Pozadzides, Cali Lewis, and Jennifer Conleyall Internet and social media trailblazers without these tireless folks, OpenCamp would not be happening, stated Crossvale CEO Conor Brankin said. Their efforts going back several years to prior WordCamp and DrupalCamp events, and their ongoing support of Drupal, Joomla and WordPress, have created the foundation for the dynamic open source community we have here in the North Texas area.

The Welcome Party will provide an opportunity for conference attendees, speakers, and star attractions to mingle and get to know one another before the rush of OpenCamp sessions begins. We encourage everyone to register for OpenCamp (http://www.openca.mp) and join us at this event.

Sharp added, As if you needed any more reasons to attend, we will be giving away a brand new Canon T2i Digital SLR camera valued at over $ 1,000 and several other prizes, so you definitely do not want to miss the party!

Crossvale President Jason Sharp Speaks on Drupal at OpenCamp 2010

Plano, TX (PRWEB) August 24, 2010

Crossvale, Inc. (http://www.crossvale.com), a leading provider of tailored integration, automation and portal solutions, announces President Jason Sharp will speak on multi-departmental authoring in Drupal at OpenCamp 2010, Aug. 27-29. OpenCamp is the Southwests first multi-platform web conference, combining Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, .NET, social media, and SEO expertise.

Jason Sharp, co-founder and president of Crossvale, Inc. will present Multi-Departmental Authoring in Drupal, beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 29. This intermediate-level presentation offers an effective and scalable solution to a common need for large enterprises as requested on drupal.org forums: authorizing multiple groups of authors to control subsections of a multi-departmental site. The session will illustrate how authors of the same department can edit, review and publish the same subset of content without overstepping content from a different department. Sharp, an Oracle ACE and founding BEA Technical Director, has introduced innovations such as: SOA, enterprise portals, BPM, business-to-business integration, and EAI to major comanies worldwide.

We have had the opportunity to design and deploy private enterprise portals since 2003, refining best practices and expertise for the special cases of these portals, said Sharp. Intranet portals for large corporations and institutions involve a slew of security policies, collaboration scenarios, content types, and legacy system integrations not typically applicable to external websites focused on public access. It is a privilege to speak at OpenCamp this year and present some of our Drupal techniques based on a comprehensive case study.

The presentation content will highlight a rich Drupal 6 case study in which an intranet portal serving 5000 employees for a national media company headquartered in North Texas required support for authoring content across its 14 departments. Attendees will walk away with specific knowledge about key Drupal modules and best practices for supporting multiple non-technical authors of large Drupal deployments.

As previously announced, Crossvale is also a platinum sponsor of OpenCamp. The Company has championed the use of open source technologies since their inception in 2001. Crossvale CEO Conor Brankin stated, Our sponsorship is a tremendous opportunity for Crossvale to give back to the open source community.

OpenCamps sessions cover a broad range from social media to technical development, content creation, revenue generation and more. Attendees will be guided by some of the most experienced practitioners in the country, which will be advantageous for all. We encourage everyone to register at OpenCamp today and join us at this event.
