Ninefold Releases New Templates for Secure Remote Access and Faster Web Application Development

(PRWEB) April 20, 2012

Ninefold, the Australian public cloud compute and cloud storage company, has released new templates for system administrators and web application developers.

Ninefolds new VPN (virtual private network) template allows system administrators to rapidly provision a server in the cloud with VPN software pre-installed, allowing quick enablement of remote VPN access for business users. The VPN template comes with Ubuntu, OpenVPN and StrongSwan IPSec VPN ready to run, only requiring site-specific configuration to complete the deployment. This helps connect remote workers more easily with their email, applications and other IT resources at the workplace.

The Ninefold LAMP template replaces manual processes, reduces duplication and helps developers get applications – such content management systems (CMS) customer relationship management (CRM) and publishing applications – to market faster on the Ninefold platform.

It offers a pre-built LAMP server image that can be run on the Ninefold cloud within minutes. Developers can simply create a new virtual server: pick an instance size (CPU, memory, disk), select the new LAMP template, and click create to deploy a new LAMP virtual server. LAMP, the open source (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) stack, is the basis of many powerful server-side applications on the internet.

The new template means that customers can create as many of the exact same LAMP virtual servers required, each with the exact same software components installed. As all the components are open source, there are no additional fees or charges for using the LAMP stack template.

Peter Bui, Director, PB Web Development, specialises in building websites with Joomla, one of the most popular open source content management systems. The Ninefold LAMP stack saves a huge amount of setup time. Being able to invoke an instance with everything pre-configured within just a few minutes is a huge time saver and a huge advantage. It also allows us to have a backup capability for our customers websites. If any of our clients sites go down, we can quickly spin up another LAMP stack on Ninefold, install Joomla and their data on to it and have it up again quickly, thus minimizing downtime.

Make life easier for developers, automate more processes and help get applications to market faster, thats the mantra for technical development at Ninefold, said Peter James, Chairman and Co-Founder at Ninefold. Online applications, and users appetite for them, is growing at the speed of lightening. This template will ensure a vastly faster process for developers creating sites and applications, and take away the hassle of manually creating an instance from scratch.

Version 3.2 of WP Robot Autoblogging Plugin for Wordpress Now Allows Remote Control and Complete Automation of Any Number of Websites

Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) November 4, 2010

Lunatic Studios launched a new version of its popular WordPress autoblogging plugin called WP Robot today. WP Robot is intended to help bloggers safe valuable time and earn more advertising revenue off their weblogs by aggregating content from a wide range of sources and posting it to the blog in custom intervals on autopilot.

This latest release adds several new content sources to the software, bringing the total number of sources WP Robot can aggregate content from automatically to 18, seven of which are monetized and thus can earn the users of the plugin affiliate commissions by displaying the content on their weblogs. The new content sources include Commission Junction and Linkshare.com, two of the most popular affiliate networks with many high-profile merchants and thousands of products.

The new Yelp module can aggregate local business reviews from yelp.com, while the Oodle and Eventful modules can add local classified ads and events to the content mix in order to help users create weblogs targeted to specific regions or cities. All 18 content sources of WP Robot use official API programs to gather their results, improving the reliability of the service and preventing users from getting into any copyright issues.

Version 3.2 does furthermore add support for the WP Robot Control Center, an added service that allows users to remotely control any number of WordPress weblogs from a central place. By utilizing the Control Center service users can change and manage any WP Robot feature as well as the most important WordPress features on all their weblogs at the same time, without the need to log into each site separately.

“The new remote control possibilities through the Control Center are a great addition for people who run a large network of weblogs that use WP Robot, but even people with only a few blogs can safe huge amounts of time by using it,” said Thomas Hoefter, owner and creator of WP Robot.

A free demo version of WP Robot 3.2 is available on the official website, http://wprobot.net.
