Blogger Creates Free Video Series to Educate Others About Blogging

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 2, 2007

Since nearly 200,000 new weblogs, or blogs, are created each day, some may argue that there are already too many blogs in the world. One blogger does not think so. Phil Ayres believes that “blogging has greatly improved our society. Blogs have made politicians more accountable to their constituents. They have enabled people with problems to reach out and find comfort in the words of someone who might otherwise be a complete stranger. And, blogs have enabled businesses to bring a human face to their corporate activities,” said Ayres

Though Ayres recognizes that there are phenomenal numbers of new bloggers each day, he also points out that these statistics fail to account for the number of bloggers who quit blogging or allow a blog to remain dormant for months at a time. And, he began to wonder why bloggers quit. “I would get hooked on reading a particular blog. Then, all of a sudden, one day, the blogger would just quit. And, I began to wonder why,” Ayres said.

“I began to speak with a number of bloggers from all kinds of blogs who quit writing. I spoke with individuals who wrote about politics. I spoke with bloggers who wrote about the activities in their day. I even spoke with corporate bloggers who discussed their industry or company. And, one common theme echoed in each of these situations … bloggers became disappointed with the traffic that they were getting.”

Ayres said that “he began to wonder what he could do about this problem”. Ultimately, he decided to create a free video tutorial series, the Blog Marketing Series (http://www.blogmarketingseries.com). The Blog Marketing Series consists of over 4 hours and 33 videos, designed to educate bloggers about how to create and market blogs on the Internet. All videos are provided to the public for free.

“I truly believe in the power of blogs to improve our democracy and to help people by sharing the lives of bloggers with their readers. I also believe in the importance of blogging for businesses of all sizes. People want to do business with companies that have a human face,” Ayres said.

Ayres said that he hopes that the Blog Marketing Series (http://www.blogmarketingseries.com) benefits others by allowing them to see online video tutorials, showing them how to create blogs. Further, once the blogs are created, the videos show bloggers how to use modern media to market their words and message for the purpose of expanding their audience.

He jokes that “in the movie ‘Field of Dreams’, the voice says, ‘if you build it, they will come.’ Nothing could be further from the truth when it comes to blogging!”

“Unfortunately, it is not enough to just create a blog. To create a wide audience for your blog in a very competitive blogosphere, one has to take the steps necessary to let people know about the blog. I hope the blog marketing series helps bloggers to create that wide audience that they need to keep on blogging for many years,” Ayres said.

Ayres said that “the blog marketing series was created with a higher intent. In a disjointed world, weblogs bring us together and allow us to connect with one another. It flattens geographical and ideological boundaries. The more people who start blogs and continue them, the better off our world will be. So, I encourage anyone to go to http://www.blogmarketing series.com to see our free videos, and get your blog started today.”

For additional information on the news that is the subject of this press release, contact Phil Ayres, or visit http://www.blogmarketingseries.com.

Blog Marketing Series (http://www.blogmarketingseries.com) provides free video tutorials to individuals or businesses who want to learn about creating and marketing blogs on the Internet. Specifically, in these video tutorials, the focus is on creating and marketing WordPress weblogs.

Bigmouthmedia Awards

(PRWEB) May 31, 2009

Affiliate marketing agency bigmouthmedia announces Jason Dale and One Little Duck as the winner of the B.A.B.E. Award.

The bigmouthmedia affiliate blogging excellence award (the B.A.B.E. award) was founded as a way to highlight the importance of the affiliate community within the United Kingdom and to reward those who contribute the most to it.

Affiliate marketing (http://www.bigmouthmedia.com/products_services/affiliate-marketing/) is most productive and effective when affiliates are empowered to contribute significantly and safely to merchant sales. Successful affiliates are rewarded with commission on sales, leads and actions but bigmouthmedia launched the blog competition to extend the reward structure to those affiliates who help others.

Jason Dale’s One Little Duck (http://www.onelittleduck.co.uk/) blog was first nominated by the affiliate community – receiving nominations through the affiliate agency’s voting form and mentions on Twitter – and then selected as the final winner by bigmouthmedia’s judges.

“One Little Duck is a great blog,” said Jen Brain, senior affiliate manager at bigmouthmedia, “We thought Jason provided useful reading for affiliates of every level. The blog is community focused and integrates with Affiliates 4 U’s ‘back me’ voting system for individual blog posts, MyBlogLog from Yahoo, the ShareThis widget and sports a good collection of recommended WordPress plugins.”

On winning the award, Jason Dale said: “I’m still in shock but I am very pleased and truly honoured that One Little Duck has been chosen as the B.A.B.E Award winner, especially as there are many high quality UK affiliate bloggers. Thanks to the judges and nominators, as well as to everyone who reads One Little Duck. A big thanks also to bigmouthmedia for the awards initiative. I hope it will become an annual event and that more affiliates are encouraged to share their experiences with others via their own blogs”.

The competition allowed affiliates to step up for nomination by talking about the award on Twitter. Bigmouthmedia recorded several hundred tweets and retweets about the competition as affiliates spread the news.

Blogger Training Course Now Enrolling Bloggers Online at BloggingwithJohnChow.com

San Francisco, California (PRWEB) December 12, 2012

Blogging has become one way that businesses and individual people can communicate with the world. For some bloggers, monetizing these efforts has been possible through product or affiliate partnerships. Top blogger, John Chow, has setup a new blogger training course and is enrolling bloggers online. This new training teaches how to get started blogging for business or personal use online. This course can be accessed entirely online from any Internet connected device.

“This course teaches someone how to get started with a blog in a few short clicks,” said John Chow on his website.

The concept of blogging has derived from the 1998 use of the word web log and has now turned into a lifestyle for some doing it full time. Company use of blogs is one way that new products and services can be announced to the world with no additional marketing.

One of the benefits of creating a company or individual blog is the free set of tools that are now available. Platforms like WordPress and Joomla provide open source software that is developed by software engineering experts.

There is currently no cost to use these platforms and this is helping more people to get started without investing into the design or development process usually required with a traditional website.

Part of the information that is now included in the fast start how to blog course is how to find information to distribute online. The digital age has placed more emphasis on accessing content faster and easier than any other time in history. Part of a blogger’s lifestyle is finding new content to publish online.

The new course information supplies details how to obtain and generate content to keep blogs updated constantly with a fresh source of information.

A popular way that some online have used to expand the reach of a blog is by outsourcing the daily content to other writers. This method of virtual outsourcing was developed to allow a blogger to concentrate on controlling marketing without spending time updating a blog by hand. The way to research and hire an outsourcer is covered inside of John’s new training.

The new blogging training course offered online is one of the first of its kind to teach a range of subjects inside of one course. The development of the training and the content inside was developed by John Chow and is the very strategies that he uses on a daily basis to control his own network of websites online.

About John Chow
