Baby Modeling Could be a Way for Parents to Save for College - Scooter"s Fab FC Can Help - Celebrating Over 21 Years in Business

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 1, 2009

As every newlywed or new parent will tell you getting your family going in this economy is a difficult road to travel. Newlyweds have turned to in-laws for help with down payments for their first homes, if they can help. In addition more families are using special offers for first time buyers, Veteran’s benefits, etc. The building of a family; home and children, is no longer the American Dream we once knew. In these rough economic times, young couples just starting out have had issues with getting their engines started.

If you are a Veteran you can try the Veterans Affairs pages online at http://www.homeloans.va.gov or the US Dept. of Housing and Urban development at http://www.HUD.gov, at least you will get some info to help in your search for a safe and suitable environment for your growing family.

In most cases, both parents have to go back to work once the little bundle of joy arrives. Two incomes are needed as jobs are standing on unsteady feet. Some Mothers are looking for at home job opportunities when their children are young, because of child care costs, some cannot leave the home and make enough to justify putting their child in day care. Every parent knows just how much goes into building a family, clothing diapers, schooling, etc. Families in certain areas of the country have access to the entertainment industry for their children. If little Johnny can grab a TV commercial, or some print work, and stick away $ 50,000 dollars towards college, why not? If the children have fun, why not give it a shot…it is an opportunity many parents attempt. Of course you must know who you are dealing with, and know what they do….

In Los Angeles, Scooter’s Fab FC is such a company….specializing in agency placement for the under 5 yr. old club, Scooters has been in the business for over 21 years, and has been educating new parents to the industry, working with licensed and bonded Talent Agents.

All in all new families are not in a position to be frivolous with money these days. Families struggle, but help is out there, you just have to do a little research.

Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water Announces Growing World Blindness Rate Could be Preventable through Diet and Water

Grants Pass, OR (PRWEB) December 30, 2011

Sharon Kleyne, host of the Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water radio talk show and Founder of Bio-Logic Aqua Research, recently interviewed Alan Taylor, PhD, of the Tufts University Laboratory for Nutrition and Vision Research. The topic was the growing world blindness rate. Dr. Taylor offered some simple, proactive nutrition suggestions for preventing blindness.

The interview may be heard on-demand on World Talk Radio, Voice America, Green Talk Network, Apple iTunes and Twitter.

According to Sharon Kleyne, the blindness rate is growing worldwide and in the United States. Leading causes, worldwide, are cataracts (50% of blindness increasing as you age), glaucoma, age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy (increasing in the US), trachoma (a viral infection of the eye), onchocerciasis (or “river blindness,” common in Africa), and leprosy.

There are 42 million blind people in the world, with 1.5 million in the US. An estimated 70% to 80% of blindness is preventable or treatable. In developing countries, where the blindness rate is much higher, the treatable rate is also much higher.

Blindness is increasing In the United States at a lower rate and with less treatable causes. Cataracts remain the #1 cause of blindness (and are easily repaired) but blindness related to air pollution, dry eye, dehydration, obesity and poor diet (such as diabetic retinopathy) is increasing.

New Education about Dry Eye and the Tear Film that Could Save Your Vision

Grants Pass, OR (PRWEB) February 10, 2012

Sharon Kleyne, host of the Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water has been researching the dry eye for two decades. On her radio show, since 2007, she has interviewed many of the world’s leading dry eye researchers. With dry eye now the number one reason for eye doctor visits in the United States, one of Sharon Kleyne’s missions is to educate the public about dry eye prevention and the tear film.

In recent decades, according to Sharon Kleyne, dehydration related health issues (caused by a loss of natural moisture), such as dry eye, dry skin, dry mouth, computer eye strain, contact lens dry eye, eye allergies, adult acne, dermatitis, Sjogren’s syndrome and skin and eye cancers, have increased dramatically.

According to one of Sharon Kleyne’s show guests, Lasik pioneer Marguerite McDonald, MD, if left untreated, occasional transient dry eye could lead to more chronic dry eye, which for some people is debilitating and life altering. Dry eye can also lead to corneal ulceration, impaired vision and in extreme cases, blindness.

Sharon Kleyne attributes the global increase in dry eye symptoms to multiple factors. Because of global climate change and increasing air pollution worldwide, exposure to dry, stagnant air and polluted humid air have increased. This exposure is dehydrating to the eyes’ natural tear film, as is exposure to smoke, dust, wind, extreme heat and cold and other outdoor conditions.

Indoors, forced-air heating and cooling, insulated walls and windows, low humidity and cleaning fluids are also dehydrating to eyes. Other contributing environmental factors may be contact lenses, computers, extreme sports, caffeine and alcohol consumption, certain medications, and drinking too little water each day.

Regardless of the cause (there may also be internal systemic causes), dry eye and eye dehydration occurs when water in the microscopically thin tear film covering the eyes’ exposed portions is lost to evaporation, causing an over-concentration of the tear film’s electrolyte (salt) content. Dry eye may be experienced as itching, burning, irritation, blurred vision (especially late in the day), eyestrain, drowsiness, headache, allergies, and/or a “grainy” sensation in the eyes.

Though only about 20 to 30 microns (millionths of a meter) thick, the tear film is amazingly complex. Tear film layers include:

Lipid layer – the thin overlying film of fatty oils (over 100 different fats and oils have been identified), that lubricate the eyelid and slow water evaporation from lower layers. Aqueous layer – the middle and thickest layer that is 99% water. The layer also contains electrolytes, beneficial proteins and enzymes, and bacteria-fighting antibodies. Mucin layer – the bottom layer that adheres the tear film to the ocular surface.

Researchers have long known that the simplest and most natural way to soothe dry irritated eyes is to add two-to-five millionths of a liter (micro-liters) of water to the aqueous layer. A commercially viable method of administering water in such minute quantities was discovered in 1999, when Sharon Kleyne’s Bio-Logic Aqua Research developed Nature’s Tears
