Marketing Strategist Blogs 50 Ways to Promote an iPhone App

Kenosha, Wis. (Vocus) July 9, 2009

Apple celebrates the one-year anniversary of the App Store this week. With more than 60,000 Apps accumulated in that time, the launch of a new App can easily get lost. That is why GS Marketing Group, Inc., a leading App developer, assembled a list of 50 (and still growing) ways to promote iPhone Apps, available as a blog article at TimCascio.Wordpress.com.

“iPhone Apps are a new addition to an integrated marketing plan, and I think people are unsure where to begin their marketing and promotional efforts,” said author Timothy Cascio, managing partner at GS Marketing Group. “Fundamental marketing rules apply, such as defining your target audience and identifying how to reach them. However, this medium requires insight as to what’s technically possible within Apps, how the iPhone App Store works and how social media can be leveraged to spread the word. My hope is that the blog is a practical guide for accomplished developers and expert marketers alike.”

For existing brands, a close look at current customer touch points can uncover a number of easy-to-implement, but often overlooked, promotional ideas. For new brands, publicity, social media and sponsorship opportunities play a larger role in the overall campaign.

Whether an existing brand or a new one, a mobile audience is at times more receptive to marketing messages than others. When and where mobile users spend their time in a captive environment is an outlet for consideration. Examples include advertising within complementary Apps, themed podcasts and at transit stations.

Publicity, promotions and advertising should coincide with the pre-release and release of Apps. The best shot at earning a Top Seller position within an iPhone App Store category is when all marketing efforts leverage one another.

Marketers are reminded that nothing holds back the full potential of an App like poor ratings and reviews. Mobile Apps require a commitment to marketing and ongoing product development to ensure long-term success. Acting upon insightful feature requests submitted by users will keep customers coming back and lure new ones into the fold.

Rob Walch, host of the popular Today in iPhone podcast said of the article, “This is, without a doubt, the most thorough list I’ve seen talking about different ways to promote your App. A must read.”

Cascio’s blog and the ”Mobile Marketing: 50 Ways to Promote Your iPhone App” article may be viewed at http://TimCascio.Wordpress.com .

Munera and Chabad.org To Fill The Western Wall With iPhone Prayers

Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) September 17, 2009

Munera announced today a partnership with Chabad.org to make the iPhone application Send a Prayer – Western Wall widely available. The application is expected to be extensively used in the run up to Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, to fill the Western Wall with personal prayers. The price of the application has been reduced to $ 0.99 in honor of this campaign and is being announced throughout Chabad.org’s network.

Users can compose prayers on their iPhone or iPod touch. Within 48 hours, the prayers will be printed out in Jerusalem and placed between the stones of the Western Wall. In addition, in keeping with the age-old Jewish practice to pray at the resting places of the righteous before Rosh Hashanah, users will now also be able to send their prayer to be placed at the resting place of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory.

The application will be available in English, French and Spanish.

“We are very excited about the partnership. The reach of Chabad.org in Jewish communities worldwide is just what we were hoping to find,” said Na’ama Moran, Founder of Munera. “Rosh Hashanah is the perfect opportunity to reach out and use our mobile technology to fill the Western Wall with prayers for peace.”

“When technology is utilized to span geographic space and connect people, we are then realizing the ultimate purpose of the energy latent in Creation,” noted Rabbi Meir Simcha Kogan, Managing Director of Chabad.org. “By connecting people with holy sites half a world away, this beautiful Munera app helps us all live on a higher, holier plane.”

THE WESTERN WALL:

The Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall or the Kotel in Hebrew, is located in Jerusalem and is Judaism’s holiest site. It is a remnant of the external wall of the Second Temple, which stood in Jerusalem between 349 BCE and 70 CE, when it was destroyed by the Romans. Millions of people from all over the world visit the Western Wall to pray for peace, prosperity and well-being. It is a centuries-old tradition for people to write notes of prayer and place them in the cracks between the Wall’s ancient stones.

THE REBBE’S OHEL:

The Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, considered one of the foremost spiritual leaders of the 20th century, was a selfless leader and lover of the Jewish People. As in his lifetime, when people would flock to the Rebbe for blessings and advice, people from all over the world visit his resting place, considered to be a place of great holiness, to beseech G-d and invoke G-d’s blessing for all matters personal and communal. People often describe their prayer experience there as cathartic and uplifting. Many who are unable to make it in person send letters by email or fax to be read or placed at the holy resting place.

The app is available today in the App Store for $ 0.99 and can be downloaded from http://itunes.com/apps/sendaprayer-westernwall

David Blane, Editor for iPhone Speaker Reviews said, iPhone alarm clocks are a very specific type of iPhone Speaker. They combine alarm clock functionality and iPhones music-playing capabilities for more enjoyable use of both devices. Our review covers sound, style and design, and value.

The review points out several good features of the iK150 including excellent sound, decent looks, quality build and all-around, solid performance. However, the review remarks that the system could have more modern alarm clock functionality.

Sound is, by-far, this speakers best feature, David explains, Its what Kicker is known for. The review boasts, Strong, powerful sound and that The iK150 is one of the loudest, best sounding alarm clocks available. David summarized his experience with the iK150, I had to warn the people in the office before we turned it up to full blast. I probably didn’t need to test it at it’s loudest, but I couldn’t resist.

Kicker iK501 Speaker Review by iPhone Speaker Reviews

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 05, 2011

iPhone Speaker Reviews (http://www.iphonespeakerreviews.com), has just released their review of the Kicker iK501. iPhone Speaker Reviews learned that not only does this system have powerful, full-body sound, it allows the user to plug and iPod or iPhone straight in to a TV.

The iK501 offers ground-shaking sound from a sleek looking stero-boombox offering robust sound that beats many stereo systems available. Its design is solid and sturdy and has a central knob for menu control on an LCD display allowing for adjustment to volume, bass, treble and standby to charge your iPhone or iPod. The inferred remote has a good feel and functions well easily controlling volume, play, pause, skip, menu control and power.

Kicker is a well known manufacturer producing great sounding speakers and with the iK501 included a video component out allowing you to watch videos on your iPhone/iPod directly on your TV. To really add punch to the sound quality, the iK501 has a built in sub-woofer on the back.

Steven Johnson, Editor for iPhone Speaker Reviews said, The iK501 is looks and sounds superb. When we reviewed it, it was fun turning it up to full blast just to see how loud it would go. The component output to the TV is a great idea, but in the future HD playback will be required. This system is pretty cool..

While the review points out several good and unique features of the iK501 it also noted that the system is not portable, as Kicker excluded a battery option. Another point made is that the LCD display could be a bit larger and brighter, but the letters and numbers are easy to read and well contrasted.

Overall, the review is good with an Editor Rating of 8 out of 10 and if you are looking for loud, full bodied sound, this is the system for you.

Included in the box is the Speaker System, power adapter and remote control. If you would like to see how the iK501 compares with other home speakers, check out all Home iPhone Speaker Reviews.

Case-Mate Barely There Brushed Aluminum Case Reviewed by iPhone Speaker Reviews

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 17, 2012

iPhone Speaker Reviews (http://www.iphonespeakerreviews.com), just released their review of the Case-Mate Barely There Brushed Aluminum. The review speaks highly of the case’s design, calling it “Sleek” and “Stylish”. It also says that the case fits well into pockets making it very convenient.

Read the full Case-Mate Barely There Brushed Aluminum Review

According to iPhone case expert, David Blane, The Barely There Brushed Aluminum is one of my favorite cases because of its looks. The aluminum back adds an industrial modern look to the iPhone that is unmistakable. In addition the aluminum back is smudge and fingerprint resistant.

The review goes on to point out that the Barely There Brushed Aluminum is really designed with looks in mind. It does not protect the iPhone from large drops or serious damage. Its main purpose is for scratch protection.

It has a great look and is really stylish the review states. One of the features that the review talks about is the button and port accessibility. Having the buttons and ports accessible is what some people want. It makes it easier to dock, turn up volume and hear the speakers. said David.

iPhone speaker expert reviewer, David Blane, explained the reasons he liked the BB1 saying, Over New Years Eve I attended a party and it turned out that we did not have a way to play music. I had the BB1 in a backpack, so I whipped it out and we started jamming to our favorite dancing tunes and started the party right there.

It was fortunate that the BB1 was in my bag. Anything larger, more cumbersome and not long lasting would have gotten left at home. said David.

Some of the features noted by the review were the long lasting rechargeable battery, the customizable eye speaker grills, excellent sound and its durable vinyl construction.

With an overall rating of 8.7 out of 10 and a user review of 9.3 out of 10, the Boombotix BB1 is a great choice for those looking for ultra-portable, stylish and awesomely-unique speakers.

iHome iDM5 Reviewed by iPhone Speaker Reviews

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 10, 2012

iPhone Speaker Reviews (http://iphonespeakerreviews.com), just published their review of the iHome iDM5. The editors tested the iDM5 to see how well it performed in a number of areas. These areas included the iDM5 for sound quality, design, and Bluetooth setup.

Sound Quality was also reviewed by iPhone Speaker Reviews. It was described as …pretty good for the size and construction of the iDM5…while browsing the internet or answering emails, we thought it was very satisfactory.”

The editors reviewed the Bluetooth connection carefully to see if there were any bugs or connection errors. The review said, “The connection is solid. Especially if you have the iPad resting on the stand. There are no cords … which keeps things clean between the iDM5 and iPad.”

When it comes to design, the review went into more detail. It went over each of the main traits like keyboard and convenience. Here is what it said: “The keyboard is designed to have a similar layout to Apple’s keyboards…Typing on the keyboard is quick and responsive. It’s lightweight, sounds good, and gives you access to a keyboard anywhere. It’s perfect for taking to a coffee shop to set up for a couple hours.” The review went on to point out some design preferences that the editor had but, overall, the design comments were positive.

Editor, David Blane, said, The iDM5 is a breakthrough for the iPad. Since tablets have been on the rise, people have wanted a way to use keyboards with them effectively. So far, the iDM5 is the best solution we have seen. We did have a few criticisms that you can read in our review, but overall it does exactly what it says it will.

Mobile Podcaster App Lets You Record And Publish Your Podcast Directly From Your iPhone

Charlottesville, Virginia (PRWEB) August 29, 2012

Marketing professionals are intrigued with the idea of podcasting but find themselves frustrated with the process and technical challenges required to record new episodes and manage a podcast over the long term. The findings are based on more than 2 years of discussion with local business owners throughout Central Virginia. According to Steinar Knutsen, creator of Mobile Podcaster and President at New Site Media Group, podcasting is a terrific online communications channel that continues to grow given the proliferation of smart phones.

In a recent video interview, Mike Stelzner, CEO and Founder of Social Media Examiner said, Podcasting is giving a platform to businesses that is really hot. Podcasting is at an inflection point. Youre going to see podcasting becoming very, very big … very, very fast in the next 18 to 24 months.

A podcast is a recorded audio or video program to be played on a digital device, such an iPhone or iPad. Podcasts are primarily available for free on the Internet and typically follow to a series format similar to radio and television. Because the shows are recorded, listeners have the freedom to listen to these portable, on-demand episodes at their convenience.

Recording a podcast traditionally requires the use of a recording device or microphone, a computer, and software to edit and publish the finished content. A 30-minute recording may require an additional hour of work to prepare for broadcast. Most of this time is consumed with editing, writing web copy and transferring files to the Internet.

Mobile Podcaster is a new iPhone application from New Site Media Group available on the Apple iTunes App Store that streamlines the process of podcasting. The app allows users to record and publish podcasts directly from an iPhone to WordPress, a leading online blogging tool and content management system. This saves time, reduces recording equipment requirements and enables users to podcast at anytime from anywhere.

Mobile Podcaster includes many unique features including unlimited recording length, the ability to assign a title and description to the recording and a simple wireless upload process to transfer new podcast episodes to WordPress without any manual handling of files and blog posts. Mobile Podcaster is available for $ 1.99 on the Apple iTunes App Store and supports both WordPress.org and WordPress.com sites.

iPhone Speaker Reviews Announces New Responsive Site Design

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 09, 2012

iPhone Speakers Reviews is pleased to announce the next step in its evolution, the redesign of http://www.iphonespeakerreviews.com. This redesign includes new elegant look, responsive template and performance additions to increase page load speeds.

iPhone Speaker Reviews has over 100 user and editor reviews of all the top selling speaker products. The whole website now reacts to the size of the browser viewing the site. It adjusts modules, menus and page content based on the size of the browser. This makes viewing the website from devices like the iPad or iPhone much easier. According to the site designers many of the visitors come to their site using iPhones.

The design on the new site is now more elegant and welcoming. The darker accent colors and larger font sizes help to make visitors feel more comfortable while using the site. These colors add more contrast which makes it easier to focus on sections of readable content.

Navigating on the site is much easier. A new menu system has been integrated that makes it much easier to find deeper website content. For each of the brand sections, the company logos have been added into the menu so users can spot which of the companies they are looking for quickly.

On the backend of the website, new script merging tools, compression techniques, and other plugins have been added to help reduce the load times on the pages. This dramatically increases the speed at which pages load, making it much easier for the users to navigate to the information they are looking for.

iPhone Speaker Reviews is now updated to the latest version of Joomla. Joomla 2.5 has improved security measures, better user interface and is easier to keep up to date. Using Joomla and extensions helps the website administrators keep the site performing well in search engines.

Paul Cowley, Website Designer, said, Redesigning a site gives us a chance to upgrade a lot features. We are able to take a step back and look at the site as a whole, think about improvements and make crucial decisions for the end user. After taking time to rethink our look and feel, we feel like the improvements we made will increase visitor satisfaction by a lot. Our goal is to lead people to their perfect iPhone speaker system, and these changes help to get us there.
