Woohoo! Wattpad Delivers The 10 Millionth Page To Mobile Phones

Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) June 27, 2007

Wattpad, the global leading story sharing community for mobile users, today announced that it has served over 10 million pages to mobile phones. Developed using Wattpad Mobilize technology, Wattpad Story Sharing Community is one of the fastest growing platforms enabling users to consume user-generated content on mobile phones.

“In April 2007 we officially introduced the service for mobile users worldwide to discover, read, and share stories on their mobile phones. We are extremely happy that we grew from zero to 10 million in a very short period of time,” enthused Ivan Yuen, Founder of Wattpad. “With over 60,000 user-generated stories already available to our community, we have definitely reached critical mass for the next phase of growth. A recent user survey indicates that 93% of our users are satisfied with the user experience, we are very proud to achieve significant growth while maintaining high level of user satisfaction.”

Detailed survey summary is available on Wattpad’s official blog (http://wattpad.wordpress.com/).

With mobile phone being the electronic device most people carry all the time, these stories are now instantly accessible by anyone anytime anywhere – whether you are reading short stories at bedside, reading funny jokes while commuting in the underground or viewing lyrics while listening to music on your mobile phone.

Wattpad Story Sharing Community is like the text version of YouTube with a Digg style system that uses tags, categories and voting to determine the popularity of stories. All the stories are contributed by Wattpad users. Joining the community is free. Anybody can signup and upload whatever he or she wants to share – a short fiction, an essay or a joke, and then read it on mobile phone using Wattpad Reader or send it to friends via SMS. Wattpad Reader is a small ad-supported Java ME application which let users download and read stories available in the Wattpad community.

To download Wattpad Reader, go to m.wattpad.com on your mobile phone’s browser and follow the link to download. Wattpad Reader works with most mobile phones from major manufacturers such as Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, LG, Sharp, Sanyo, Panasonic, BlackBerry and many more.

Odiogo"s Web 2.0 Service Enables The Popular Politico Website To Be "Listened To" On Mobile Phones, iPods And Computers.

(PRWEB) June 26, 2008

Arlington, Virginia and Jerusalem, Israel, June 26, 2008 – Politico, a top 20 newspaper website as ranked by Nielsen Online, announced today the availability of Odiogo’s Listen-Now and Podcast capabilities on http://www.politico.com. Politico has now provided its website visitors with an easy and instant way to hear text articles. With Odiogo’s technology, Politico readers can become listeners and consume their favorite content while multitasking or on the go.

Odiogo’s solution automatically converts internet articles into high fidelity audio files, enabling listening to internet news sites and blogs on PCs and portable devices. Politico now provides any situation access to its on-line content, enabling its community of readers to ‘listen to’ their favorite articles just as they would listen to a traditional radio program. Politico’s articles can be accessed on-the-go (eye free situation) and while multi-tasking, and Politico’s readers are no longer restricted in how and when to consume their favorite online text content. Odiogo also introduces accessibility improvement for foreign readers and the vision impaired community.

“Since the inception of our website, we have been embracing web 2.0 best of breed services,” said Roy Schwartz, VP of business development for Politico. “The Odiogo solution is a continuation of this trend as it allows us to create another layer of distribution to fit some of our users’ news consumption habits.”

“We are thrilled that Politico has chosen to enable its site with our technology,” said Marc Kawam, CEO of Odiogo. “We have continued to experience significant adoption of our solutions across a variety of web and blogger sites, and the addition of Politico further confirms that website visitors are looking for alternative ways to consume content, ways that are more compatible with their mobile and busy lifestyles.”

Kawam added, “The paradigm of sitting in front of a PC and browsing news sites has now given way to new consumption habits. Today’s news consumers want to access and consume their favorite content anytime, anyplace, and as easily as possible. For example, more and more users are plugging their phone or iPod in their cars which allows them to create their own radio station with the music they like and the news sources they trust.”

“Additionally, affordable Internet access rate plans from mobile phones are creating new usage patterns. Odiogo allows end users to listen to selected news over the Internet, and these users no longer need to zoom and scroll on the tiny screens anymore in order to read a story.”

How it works

Odiogo’s infrastructure monitors the content published by Politico and scans articles as soon as they are posted. The generated high fidelity audio files can then be listened to on a variety of devices: the PC through the Listen Button feature, via Podcast on iPod/mp3 players, and on mobile phones (including the iPhone).

The audio generated by Odiogo is near-human quality, and the text-to-speech transformation is based on continuously updated dictionaries for addition of foreign words, acronyms, company names, etc. Additional technical advancements, such as content coloring and translation of formatting attributes will enhance the user experience even further.

The Politico-Odiogo service can be reached at: http://www.politico.com/odiogo

ShoZu Wins Gold in the Future Mobile Awards for their Contribution to Mobile Web 2.0

Hampshire, UK (PRWEB) August 19, 2008

Mobile Web 2.0 innovators, ShoZu, have been selected by Juniper Research as the top award winner in the Future Mobile Awards – mobile web 2.0 category.

The Future Mobile Awards are given to companies that have made a significant contribution to their sector and are poised to make considerable market impact in the future. The gold award recognises ShoZu as being a leading light in the development of the sector.

Ian Chard, panel judge and Analyst at Juniper Research says, “Supporting one-click transfer of digital content between mobile phones and 50+ social web destinations, geo-tagging, mobile-to-web messaging, and behavioural targeted advertising, ShoZu offers mobile network operators an established, all-round Mobile Web 2.0 on/off-deck turnkey platform. The average user is said to generate 20 network ‘events’ (i.e. content uploads/downloads) per month, with heavy users generating in excess of 100 events per month. This success demonstrates what can be achieved if users have the right tools available. ShoZu has partnered with Telecom Italia, Singapore’s StarHub and 3 (Austria and UK) under revenue-share agreements, while shipping as an embedded application on Motorola and Samsung handsets. By providing the mobile web equivalent of a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and catering to the needs of the prosumer, ShoZu is a deserving Gold winner this year.”

The awards were granted by a panel of expert judges based on a number of criteria, including: Innovation; Customer retention and growth; Commercial deployment; Ease of use/user interface; Revenue generation; Pricing (for services/products); and Capability/functionality. Gold and Silver awards were conferred for each category – Gold awarded to ShoZu, and Silver to BuzzCity – within the mobile web 2.0 category.

ShoZu CEO Mark Bol commented, “ShoZu has received some of the top awards in the industry, but being recognized by a respected analyst firm like Juniper Research is particularly gratifying. They clearly understand the problems of the mobile Web, the need to mobilize social media, and our contribution to both areas,” He continued, “Our goal all along has been to help users manage their online social lives from the handset, and this award shows that we have done that better than anyone else in the industry.”

ShoZu is a mobile utility that speeds and simplifies the process of interacting with online social media from the mobile phone by enabling users to connect to over 50 Web 2.0 sites – ranging from Facebook to YouTube, Flickr, Kodak EasyShare Gallery, Photobucket, Twitter, Google Blogger, WordPress and beyond – from a single interface. This eliminates the need to open a mobile browser and navigate to each community. With ShoZu installed on the handset, smartphone, iPhone or BlackBerry, users can mass-publish any photo or video to multiple websites and/or email addresses with a single upload; send Twitters and update Facebook status from the same interface; have friends’ photos, comments and other posts delivered directly to the mobile device without intervention; and more. (http://www.shozu.com)

Data Facts Credit Solutions Go Mobile

(PRWEB) April 10, 2012

Data Facts has partnered with On The Go Technology, the apps developer, to offer this innovative new way for loan officers and brokers to conduct business. Loan officers and brokers are no longer tied to their desktop, laptop, carbon paper or pen and paper. mobileLO allows lenders to take their tablet on the road and never access an outdated loan origination system again, helping to accumulate more closed loans and in turn, increase profits.

With the free app download and registration, users can generate the Form 1003 and export the information in a Fannie Mae 3.2 data file. A premium subscription is also available which includes the disclosures, e-signature capability, and integration with Data Facts.

Security was a major concern for Data Facts and On The Go Technology. The app uses encrypted connections to transfer data and its security certificate is embedded on the device, preventing hackers from impersonating a connection. Borrower data stored on the iPad is also encrypted. In addition, the disclosure and credit documents are not saved on the device. The documents only exist for the duration of the session, so as soon as they are clicked off of, they are removed from the device. If the device was hacked, there would be no way for the hacker to browse through the Internet cache and find the credit report. It is also recommended that users enable password protection on their iPads.

Data Facts is always looking for cutting edge technology that will help our customers be able to close more loans faster & easier, said Julie Wink, EVP of Data Facts. mobileLO provides the technology loan officers need in 2012, allowing them to fully utilize their iPad to close loans on the go. Security is a number one priority for Data Facts and we were thrilled with the amount of safeguards On The Go Technology included with this app.

Startup Helps Small Businesses Go Mobile in Time for SXSW

Austin, TX (PRWEB) March 06, 2012

YoMobi, an Austin based startup, announced the official launch of its Do-It-Yourself Mobile Website Builder, a straightforward, intuitive platform for small businesses to rapidly create mobile websites, compatible with all web-browsing smart phones. Set up, creation and implementation of the mobile website is free.

SEE: “YoMobi Brings Web Design to Mobile” (NBC KXAN)

http://www.kxan.com/dpp/news/local/austin/yomobi-brings-web-design-to-mobile

With SXSW around the corner, local Austin entrepreneurs should take advantage of this service to attract more business.

YoMobi is providing small businesses a way to compete with the big companies by creating their own advanced, tech-savvy mobile website, said Omar Naseef, co-founder of YoMobi. Most sole entrepreneurs do not have the time, money, or staff needed to customize mobile sites and most mobile web pages are difficult to navigate, often turning potential customers away. Weve taken the hassle out of all of that.

YoMobis no-programming-required platform provides users with a fill-in-the-blank template, effectively rendering a mobile website builder comparable with desktop counterparts such as Tumblr and WordPress, but more accessible for smart phone users.

Through this service, YoMobi does not require small businesses to have an established website, allowing anyone to quickly go mobile, first.

YoMobi has already gained attention within the Austin community by partnering with the Austin School of Film. The company is sponsoring the mobile viewers-choice portion of the MAFIA youth film screening for SXSW, and it is working to convert the voting method to an all-digital platform.

Look for YoMobi and the Get Tapped campaign at the interactive portion at this years SXSW. They are sponsoring spontaneous slam poetry street performances on 6th Street.

YoMobi is a free platform that allows consumers to quickly build interactive, social-media ready, mobile-optimized websites. Their mission is to remove the barriers of time, money, and skill that often impede small business owners from quickly adopting new, revenue producing technologies.

Spanky Media Opens the Future in Mobile Website Development

Perth, Western Australia (PRWEB) May 21, 2012

Spanky Media aims to provide businesses and organisations with efficient and attractive websites. The company also develops innovations in WordPress development to deliver quality websites and, at the same time, meeting the different demands of clients especially those who are always on the go.

While accessing the internet from a mobile device is no longer new, there is a renewed interest in mobile website development now that there is an increased availability of devices that are WAP 2.0 ready. Since there is an abundance of XHTML developers, it is no wonder why Spanky Media wants to remain as the leading company in Australia that brings affordable web design using this particular type of platform.

According to the Australian Communications and Media Authority, there were more than 21.26 million mobile phone users since the year 2007 and the rise of people who will own mobile phones in the country were expected to rise at 7.6% yearly. Out of the 21.26 million people who use mobile phones, 4.5 million of them use 3G mobile services and the number will increase to 192% yearly because most phones created these days are now capable of WAP 2.0.

Due to the rise of the number of Australians relying so much on their mobile phones, this has also affected the way people do their online transactions as more and more Australians are comfortable making their purchases using their mobile phones. On the other hand, there are now numerous website owners and administrators who love to work on their websites from their mobile phones.

The convenience to do custom WordPress development from mobile phones has some drawback, each model or brand is uniquely made. This means that a particular website may look and function differently from one mobile phone to the other. For business owners, not being able to tap the power of mobile web design can mean loss of a lot of revenue. Spanky Media, on the other hand, can help create specialised versions of any website that is intended only for the type of mobile phone that exists in the market. This makes online blogging and website updating from mobile phones easy and convenient for the customers.

With this idea, business owners who aim to stay afloat have better leverage over their competitors if they use mobile website development. This innovation will never go away and will be developed further to cater more powerful mobile phone services in the future. In fact, Googles previous CEO Eric Schmidt said to put your best people on mobile simply because mobile today is the fastest industry in the planet thus its development is aggressive to meet the demands of many mobile phone users. This is the reason why most mobile phone services these days are created with powerful apps that are intended in mobile browsing. And as long as there is development in mobile phones, with respect to mobile browsing, expect that Spanky Media will always be there to provide the latest innovation in mobile website development.

Be on top of your league with mobile website development. Talk to us at 1300 729 261 or visit our website at http://spankymedia.com.au/.

Though were a graphic design and marketing agency in Exeter, Devon, weve shown that the quality of our design and our work ethic competes at a national level.

The cross-platform mobile app delivers the annual report with a series of mini games designed to engage users with a personal experience, in tune with dunnhumbys ethic that the worlds experience of retailers and brands must be personal.

“Reactor surpassed all of our expectations in their response to our brief. They quickly got to grips with the unique dunnhumby culture and designed something for us that pushed all boundaries, but stayed within our guidelines. The creativity of the process stood out from start to finish and it was energising to work with such talent. As always seems to be the case with jobs like this, we ended up throwing the Reactor team some unexpected curveballs, and they dealt with these with a can-do attitude and complete professionalism. Feedback from our employees has been amazing and this is the best Annual Report to date.” said Steve Vinall, Internal Communications Director at dunnhumby.

Reactor have developed a number of mobile apps to date including a 3D thruster game, a shapes game for kids, and a trade show mobile application game called Crown & Glory for Wired Orthodontics (available free in the iTunes store).

Were very proud to have worked on this design project and look forward to taking on more projects like this in future. said Mike Saunders, Managing Director of Reactor. Were rapidly developing our capabilities in terms of mobile app development as well as HTML5 and were raring to take on more of these challenging and interesting projects where we can produce something great in partnership with our clients.

Transfluent Releases Mobile Apps Language Translation Service

Helsinki, Finland (PRWEB) August 01, 2012

The Transfluent API for Apps is the worlds first professional language translation service that can be embedded directly into the application build process. This means that every time the developer makes changes to the application, all of the different language versions also get updated at the same time.

Mobile applications are a truly global market, and localizing an application typically increases sales significantly. Despite the growing need for app localization, there has not been an efficient method of translating the apps into multiple languages until now.

The Transfluent API makes it possible to develop applications directly in multiple languages (as opposed to translating once the development has been completed). This shortens the time-to-market, increases the quality of the localized versions and lowers the cost of maintaining the multiple language versions.

Transfluents backend is powered by a network of more than 15,000 professional translators in over 60 languages. Each translation task is assigned to two independent translators one does the translation and another proofreads the text. The API helps the developer specify context for the translation task, including screenshots taken from the application.

For the best results, we recommend starting the translation process early on in the development of the app. Developing the app and testing it in multiple languages throughout the process guarantees that the localized versions work and feel as native as the original. Loyal users who are native speakers of various languages can be a great resource in making sure all the terminology is spot-on! comments Jani Penttinen, founder and CEO of Transfluent.

Transfluent keeps track of the previous translations so that only changes and additions are translated. If required, the text can be sent to translation dozens of times a day, but translation will only performed where needed.

Transfluent has quickly become a trusted partner for prominent application developers, such as DocScanner developer Haave Inc., Recoil, NonStop Games and Kapu Toys.

Tommy Incrosnatu, CEO of Kapu Toys commented on Transfluent: “Kapu Toys is developing new kinds of mobile games for children. Transfluent has supplied us with comprehensive translation solutions which have helped us in production and marketing. Our co-operation with Transfluent has worked well; the service is quick and knowledgeable. Now, with the new API, updating new translation versions is even easier and more trouble-free.”

Today Transfluent also published a white paper, detailing the typical problems and suggested solutions when localizing mobile applications. The white paper can be downloaded from Transfluent for Apps website in English, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese.

About Transfluent

Transfluent is a provider of rapid, professional translations for social media, websites and applications. Transfluent works in Facebook, Twitter and WordPress and the Transfluent API can be used to embed the near-realtime translations in applications. Transfluent is powered by over 15 000 professional translators, available 24/7, in over 60 languages.

Transfluent is one of the pioneers of professional crowdsourcing. Using crowdsourcing techniques with professional resources gives Transfluent the ability to deliver high quality translations as fast as humanly possible.

Study Reveals that 69% of Mobile Phone Users Take Them Everywhere

Perth, Western Australia (PRWEB) August 21, 2012

Recently, the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) presented a study to a group of industry insiders. The study was entitled, Mobiles Role in a Consumers Media Days: Smartphones and Tablets Enable Seamless Digital Lives. The study covered personal habits of the average consumer and how mobile phones impact their daily lives. Most attendees agreed, though, that the study holds far-reaching implications for businesses, both now and in the future.

The study was performed on 50% men and 50% women, and broken into age groups starting at 18-29 and finishing at 65 and older. The research was also split evenly between tablet and smartphone users. The study drew some conclusions which provide great insight into possible business strategies from here forward.

The most surprising finding was that 70% of tablet users use their tablets primarily for entertainment, while a near-equal 69% of smartphone users see them as an essential part of their lives, and say they never leave home without it. While smartphone users keep them on their person all of the time, 91% of smartphone users in the study report that they use their smartphones primarily at home, along with 97% of tablet users.

The study also showed that the time of day and the location makes a difference. Most report that they are most likely to use mobile devices during down time at home. While smartphone use is more common, users are more easily engaged on tablets. Users also use smartphones simultaneously with other activities, such as watching TV or reading newspapers, books, or magazines. Approximately a quarter of those who use smartphones and tablets report that it is changing how much they watch TV or read printed media.

30% said they spend $ 20 or more on their smartphone every month, but 46% said they spend the same amount on their tablets.

So, how does this all fit together and what does it mean to business owners and the general public? According to Kirk OConnor, Director of Development for Spanky Media, First and foremost, smartphones and tablets are changing the way business is done. As more and more people purchase and use smartphones and tablets, we are seeing a virtual migration of shoppers to mobile devices.

OConnor continued: Think about it. Thirty years ago, most shopping was done by going to bricks and mortar stores, with a reasonable but small percentage done by mail order. Ten years ago, the Internet made a huge impact, and a lot of bricks and mortar operations, including giants like Borders Books, went out of business. And now, just when it seems like most businesses are comfortable on the Internet, the smartphone is changing the game again.

When OConnor was asked how smartphone use is changing the game, he answered, In this era, businesses have no choice but to make it more convenient for smartphone users to do business with them. From the local restaurant to the multi-million dollar retailer, any business that doesnt optimise their website for mobile phone use is leaving money on the table. On the other hand, smartphones and tablets represent a great opportunity for businesses to reach more customers.

Experts Say Businesses Need to Go Mobile as Aussie Smartphone Users Increase

Perth, Western Australia (PRWEB) July 16, 2012

Spanky Media, a leading Perth web development company, has explained how retailers and businesses can benefit from the upsurge of smartphone usage in Australia. This statement from the company stems from a recent Google study showing that more than half of Australians 52% are now using smartphones not only for making and receiving calls, but as an important shopping tool as well.

In a separate report, it was shown that the current years percentage for smartphone users in the country is a significant increase from the 37% figure from last year. In addition, it was shown that 65% of smartphone owners use their mobile devices daily to surf the Internet, while 94% of Aussies use their smartphones to search for products and services, with 28% of them have actually made purchases through this platform.

Google has described Australias mobile users to be more sophisticated compared to those from the UK and US, implying that Aussies are more knowledgeable in using their smartphones compared to their counterparts. And according to experts, this is something that businesses and companies must take into account.

Unfortunately, Googles report also showed that 79% of Australian businesses still do not have websites optimised for mobile use, despite a figure showing that 61% of users will most probably not return to a particular website if they encountered difficulties accessing it through their mobile devices.

Jason Pellegrino, Google Australias Head of Mobile Ads, in explaining the importance of businesses going mobile said, The mobile revolution isnt coming its already happened. Mobile is no longer optional: businesses need to develop a mobile strategy now, or risk getting left behind.

In response, industry experts are suggesting that businesses must start making their websites mobile-friendly in order to cater to the growing market.

Currently, some companies have already benefited from having efficient mobile campaigns. One of them is Webjet, an online travel company, which had a 27% increase in bookings, particularly from mobile device users. An online learning company, Open Colleges, also confirmed that around a third of its enquiries and web traffic are coming from its mobile site.

In light of the increasing popularity of smartphones in the country, experts believe that retailers and businesses must now improve on their mobile campaigns or risk losing sales and clients in the end.

Pellegrino said, Businesses should complement their online and offline ad campaigns with mobile ads to reach their target audience on all screens their audience is looking at.

The year of mobile has already happened. If mobile strategy isnt being considered by the CEO or at board level, youre already behind the 8-ball, he added.

Indeed, creating mobile-friendly websites should be seriously considered by businesses, whether large or small. They just need to find the correct methods and the right company to make this possible.

Spanky Media is an established Perth Web Development company that specialises in WordPress development, web design, mobile website development, wholesale websites and other services designed to help retailers and businesses have more successful online and mobile marketing campaigns.

Mobile Podcaster App Lets You Record And Publish Your Podcast Directly From Your iPhone

Charlottesville, Virginia (PRWEB) August 29, 2012

Marketing professionals are intrigued with the idea of podcasting but find themselves frustrated with the process and technical challenges required to record new episodes and manage a podcast over the long term. The findings are based on more than 2 years of discussion with local business owners throughout Central Virginia. According to Steinar Knutsen, creator of Mobile Podcaster and President at New Site Media Group, podcasting is a terrific online communications channel that continues to grow given the proliferation of smart phones.

In a recent video interview, Mike Stelzner, CEO and Founder of Social Media Examiner said, Podcasting is giving a platform to businesses that is really hot. Podcasting is at an inflection point. Youre going to see podcasting becoming very, very big … very, very fast in the next 18 to 24 months.

A podcast is a recorded audio or video program to be played on a digital device, such an iPhone or iPad. Podcasts are primarily available for free on the Internet and typically follow to a series format similar to radio and television. Because the shows are recorded, listeners have the freedom to listen to these portable, on-demand episodes at their convenience.

Recording a podcast traditionally requires the use of a recording device or microphone, a computer, and software to edit and publish the finished content. A 30-minute recording may require an additional hour of work to prepare for broadcast. Most of this time is consumed with editing, writing web copy and transferring files to the Internet.

Mobile Podcaster is a new iPhone application from New Site Media Group available on the Apple iTunes App Store that streamlines the process of podcasting. The app allows users to record and publish podcasts directly from an iPhone to WordPress, a leading online blogging tool and content management system. This saves time, reduces recording equipment requirements and enables users to podcast at anytime from anywhere.

Mobile Podcaster includes many unique features including unlimited recording length, the ability to assign a title and description to the recording and a simple wireless upload process to transfer new podcast episodes to WordPress without any manual handling of files and blog posts. Mobile Podcaster is available for $ 1.99 on the Apple iTunes App Store and supports both WordPress.org and WordPress.com sites.

Web Standards and Mobile Device Web Viewing Get a Facelift with New Responsive Web Development

(PRWEB) July 31, 2012

Always comfortable blazing their own trail, Spark Logix Studios, a Minneapolis based inbound marketing company, is leading the web industry with their adoption of responsive web design. This practice not only changes the way they build and code a site, but makes it possible for consumers to properly view a site no matter what internet device is used for display.

Responsive web design (RWD) evolved out of the need to streamline the design process and create web pages that adapt to the medium on which they are viewed. Before RWD, designers were faced with the laborious task of coding one site multiple times to accommodate today’s various internet ready devices (desktops, smartphones, tablets, etc.) and their assortment of browsers, screen sizes, resolutions, and orientations. Alternatively, designers using RWD only code one site that is flexible and able to render appropriately no matter its environment.

RWD works by using Cascading Style Sheets 3 media queries. Essentially, the media queries ask certain questions about a device, such as its size or orientation (portrait or landscape), and modifies the site for the optimal viewing experience before loading it on the screen, which occurs instantaneously. Additionally, RWD uses fluid, proportion-based grids in its layouts as opposed to traditional grids with fixed widths, heights, and gutter sizes. These fluid grids rely on percentages of the maximum available space, so they can contract or expand based on the size of the screen. RWD is even intelligent enough to resize images, introduce new or alternate layouts, and selectively show or hide elements on a page.

Proponents of responsive web design, such as Spark Logix Studios, feel it is the best way to handle the bombardment of internet devices hitting the market. Rob Benson, Spark Logix Studios’ Creative Director and WordPress Web Designer, explains, “It’s impractical to tailor a different website for every new and forthcoming gadget — with such an approach, designers are always playing catch-up. By using responsive web design, we provide our clients with future-friendly websites that naturally display properly no matter what device they are viewed on.”

Members of Spark Logix Studios feel responsive web design allows them to offer other benefits to their clients as well, including efficiency and positive experiences for the growing number of mobile users. “Instead of spending extra time and money managing multiple versions of the same material, we use responsive web design to integrate static and mobile web design in one, which enables us to give our customers a singular site that works on all devices,” said Benson. “Also, responsive web design puts our clients in the valuable position to connect with the growing mobile audience who expect websites to respond intuitively to their devices,” he continued.

Although many web designers are still using traditional methods for website creation, there is a budding movement for responsive web design and Spark Logix Studios is one of the innovative companies in Minnesota and throughout the world leading the way. As the number of differing internet devices continues to rise, the demand for uniformity in the areas of design and coding is bound to increase and RWD as used by Spark Logix Studios may be the simplest solution, which offers standardization for designers and a positive experience for consumers.

Front Gate Tickets goes mobile and plugs-in to WordPress

Austin, TX (PRWEB) June 18, 2010

Front Gate Tickets today announced it has released both mobile ticketing and its WordPress plug-in to the live entertainment industry. These efforts are on the heels of the Austin-based companys first quarter launch of its geo-located portal at http://www.frontgatetickets.com. Clients including Lollapalooza Festival (Chicago), Higher Ground (S. Burlington, VT), Stubbs BBQ (Austin), Belly Up, Aspen (Aspen, CO), and Warehouse Live (Houston) have already started allowing its customers a quick and easy on-the-go ticket purchase via cell phones.

Mobile ticketing is a key component to selling shows in our market, says Michael Goldberg, owner of Belly Up, Aspen. While Aspen is a small town, our clientele wants to buy tickets via their mobile phones because its timely, easy and convenient. Plus, with Front Gate, our customers can store their credit card information to simplify future purchases.

Were proud to be one of the first independent ticketing companies to launch mobile ticket sales, offers Jeff Kreinik, Director of Sales and Marketing at Front Gate Tickets. Weve worked with clients, such as Belly Up, Aspen, to thoughtfully optimize the purchase process for mobile devices so that promoters can market, sell, and track activity through this channel. Many of our clients are building custom iPhone apps for their clubs and festivals. We add value to that investment by extending the mobile marketing process through to the sale. Few other ticketing companies can do that let alone extend a promoters branding throughout the session.

According to Juniper Research, in 2009 roughly 2 million mobile tickets were sold worldwide. While these numbers are not staggering, Front Gate is signaling to the market its commitment to innovation and industry leadership. With the release of mobile ticketing, Front Gate now enables venues, festivals, and promoters to sell tickets through five channels online, via its toll free call center, at a venues box office, on mobile phones and at outlets in select states.

Theres much more to ticketing today than even two years ago, suggests Kreinik. Promoters look to their ticketing company to provide sales and marketing tools that fully integrate into one solution. Weve recently launched our WordPress plug-in for clients to use with their own WordPress websites. Those promoters are immediately able to realize the benefits of having their event details appear automatically on their website. No more duplication of effort.

Front Gate Tickets also offers clients custom website design services that seamlessly connect ticketing operations with website management. Front Gate started offering design and hosting services to promoters in 2007 with clients such as Antones (http://www.antones.net) and Warehouse Live (http://www.warehouselive.com) on board today. The ticketing company recently moved to WordPress to take advantage of the platforms flexibility, open source nature and seamless integration with social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

Other key tools that fill out Front Gates offering today include connection of its web-based ticketing system and websites to Google Analytics, on-demand multi-channel sales reports, web-based event building tools, automated ticket count alerts, on-demand customer data reports, stored credit cards to encourage repeat purchases, localized portal promotions at http://www.frontgatetickets.com, and automation with social networks. For more information about these and other services, visit http://www.frontgatesolutions.com or http://www.frontgatetickets.com.

Active Web Group, Inc. Offers Free Mobile Site Analysis With Web Design Agreement

Hauppauge, NY (PRWEB) September 17, 2012

Active Web Group, Inc. (AWG), a leading online marketing company headquartered in Hauppauge, New York, today announced a Free Mobile Site Analysis, for firms that sign for a Website design or redesign agreement. Mobile Site has become an industry buzzword that few online business owners may fully understand. Active Web Groups intention by offering the Free Mobile Site Analysis with web design agreement is to familiarize decision makers with their numerous options when designing their website. Once firms understand the potential value of a mobile site to their individual business, they can determine for themselves if this industry phenomenon is practical and therefore a must have or a future choice to grow their online business.

Five years ago almost no online businesses had mobile websites, states Pat Norton, Vice President and Director of Business Development, Active Web Group, Inc. Currently its predicted that Googles worldwide mobile ad revenues this year may top $ 6 billion (up from about $ 2.5 billion in 2011), he notes. Understandably dramatic increases influence businesses to jump in and get in on the ground floor. Today many businesses may require a professional evaluation to determine if this is the right path for their business right now, Norton adds. Active Web Group will ensure that business owners both understand the financial impact a mobile site may have on their bottom line and that AWG can provide a mobile site for them quickly and cost effectively, Norton concludes.

Mobile sites are viewed as a great vehicle for attracting new business. While percentages vary, high numbers of online shoppers making their first purchase from a given web address have accessed the site via mobile devices. However not every industry is a prime candidate for having a mobile website. Active Webs Free Mobile Site Analysis with Web Design Agreement will share the top product categories and conversions with interested business owners. AWGs analysis includes an overview of the prospects competitors and how they can tailor their site to come out ahead of the pack.

Why Offer a Free Mobile Site Analysis with a Web Design Agreement?

Possibly the best time to consider creating a mobile website for any online business is when a new parent site is being developed. Mobile sites are cleaner than the primary website with fewer elements, navigation and text. Ease of use is paramount. Within a few keystrokes, users must be able to select products or services and pay for them. If a mobile site is under consideration by a potential client, Active Web can customize the primary site so that a mobile site may easily be spun off concurrently or in the near future.

A full-service agency, Active Web Group also has extensive experience in Web Design and redesign, mobile websites, Digital Media, Programming (all proficiencies including php, asp and asp.net), Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Graphic Design, E-Commerce, Magento Ecommerce, WordPress Ecommerce, custom solutions and Pay-Per-Click Marketing.
