New study: Perfect Search can help Search and Organize huge Amounts of data

Louisville, Ky. (PRWEB) October 26, 2009

The Beyond Search team at Arnold Information Technology is releasing a white paper titled “Solving Search Problems with Perfect Search.” The study addresses how enterprise companies are struggling to search and organize huge amounts of data and how Perfect Search can help. Perfect Search, http://www.perfectsearchcorp.com/, software uses semantic technology and allows clients to index and search massive data sets with near real-time incremental indexing at high speeds without latency.

The paper sets the stage by explaining that the world is awash in data stored in a wide variety of sources. Workers face a grim reality: huge amounts of data, limited access options, and uncontrollable costs related to information location. The answer is proposed in the form of the new Perfect Search Vortex system.

“Perfect Search delivers excellent content processing and query processing speed without the hardware imposing the often onerous server requirements needed to make certain data management systems usable,” Stephen E. Arnold, president of Arnold Information Technology and Beyond Search team leader, said.

Keyword search has been the high-water mark in search and retrieval. But ambiguity can return so many results that the search is essentially useless. The solution indicated is a more organized “federated” search. Federating systems send queries to other systems to save time and bother of sending a query to multiple systems one at a time. Perfect Search and its Vortex system are taking federation one step further: Vortex processes content at high speed from multiple sources and creates a single, optimized index using very little hardware and low power consumption.

The paper outlines how Vortex processes huge volumes of data and indexes content, ideas and meaning to “spin” results that precisely match the user’s information need. The system then “unwraps” the bundles of information and delivers a relevant, on-target information answer. Vortex runs so efficiently that one or two servers can do the work of six or eight servers in equivalent vendor systems.

Also included are explanations of Perfect Search’s Vortex infrastructure, power consumption, latency, performance under pressure, and heavily customized functions. Detailed charts and graphics support the data.

The white paper is available at http://arnoldit.com/files/perfect-search-white-paper.pdf. This special report was commissioned by Perfect Search in August 2009 and is the work of the Beyond Search team: Jessica Bratcher, Donald Anderson, Anthony Safina, Stuart Schram IV, and Stephen E. Arnold. Profiles of Perfect Search technology programs are at http://www.perfectsearchcorp.com/technology-benefits. Disruptive Product Data Application (Or Fusion Solutions) From Inforbix

Brookline, MA (PRWEB) November 10, 2010

Inforbix, http://www.inforbix.com, has announced its product data application for engineering and manufacturing. The system provides a set of applications that makes available information from automated design systems, product suppliers, e-mail, and enterprise systems such as purchasing and inventory control.

According to CEO and co-founder, Oleg Shilovitsky, Inforbix can combine many different pieces of information coming from multiple places and sources. A userwhether a design engineer or a product developercan search across, browse, slice and dice the many different data sources containing information about a part, component, or assembly.

Traditional search and content processing systems do not index the information required to design, manufacture, and interchange components. Shilovitsky said, The inefficiencies are significant. In most manufacturing operations, there is duplication of effort, including redrawing or reworking information that is already available, just not easy to find. We make that information instantly available.

In the Inforbix solution, the user can navigate between connected pieces of data. The system indexes and makes available data from CAD Systems (i.e. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidEdge etc.) and 2D drawing objects. In addition, the system automatically locates and links to product and engineering information in Excel tables, engineering databases, PDM, PLM, CRM, ERP, systems, e-mails and other data sources.

Shilovitsky noted, The cost savings are important, but the big payoff our customers tell us is the elimination of duplicate effort and reduction of the time for the engineering design process itself.

The firms customers include a number of specialty manufacturers who participated in alpha tests and pre-launch deployment of the ground breaking system. Stephen E Arnold, strategic information consultant and publisher of the Beyond Search blog, http://www.arnoldit.com/wordpress, said: Mainstream search systems are blind to the types of data held within specialized manufacturing, engineering design, and other specialized applications. Inforbix is one of the first companies to tackle this type of information problem. The financial benefits of this type of system are significant. Firms duplicate designs, lose track of suppliers of components, and force engineers to do research by chasing down disparate data and then manually assembling the data. Inforbix makes this synthesis a matter of a second or two. Inforbix has moved beyond search in an important way.

These customers, added Shilovitsky, are using the system at the start of new projects. The system is now used for product reviews to identify efficiencies in the design, engineering, and supply chain. One of our customers has applied the system to real time updates about the status of design updates. Like general search, our customers are delighted with the ability to slice and dice information into different forms such as a table for a Word document or produce a mashup or dashboard view of the needed information.

For more information about the Inforbix content processing system for product data applications, navigate to http://www.inforbix.com. An interview with Shilovitsky is available at http://www.arnoldit.com/search-wizards-speak/inforbix.html.

Data Subsystems, Inc. Launches New Ecommerce Solution for Musclemartonline, Inc. Web Stores ConditionNutrition.com and NutriSeller.com

Tampa, FL (Vocus) May 6, 2010

Data Subsystems, Inc., an information technology (IT) company that specializes in software development, web development and search engine optimization (SEO), performed a complete web store make over for ConditionNutrition.com and NutriSeller.com. It also developed an efficient SEO marketing campaign for ConditionNutrition.com. Data Subsystems completely redesigned the web stores, changed the engines and installed a powerful ecommerce solution that includes shopping cart, nutrition blog, orders management system and orders processing system for multiple shipping locations.

The success of a web store is based on a contemporary web site, good pricing and smart web marketing, explained Jerry Price of Musclemartonline. We have been always offering our customers best pricing, however we were missing a reliable platform and efficient web marketing. Thanks to Data Subsystems we now have robust modern web stores with powerful management systems. Efficient search engine optimization and search engine marketing campaigns increase the number of visitors on our sites every day and helps our business to grow.

The front end of the installed ecommerce solution are the ConditionNutrition.com and NutriSeller.com web stores which are based on a custom Data Subsystems shopping cart integrated with a WordPress nutrition blog. The shopping cart was developed on the basis of many years of Data Subsystems experience in ecommerce and search engine marketing. It is a SEO-friendly and user friendly shopping cart that provides extended validation SSL checkout with unbreakable high grade 256-bit encryption. It is integrated with all major credit card processing companies, as well as with Google Checkout (R) and PayPal (R). The shopping cart has many features that improve customer experience and offer the best pricing, such as volume discounts, product combo discounts, sales, promotion codes, products with free shipping, etc. Loyal customers are rewarded with special promo offers that they receive with regular newsletters. Every customer can become a member of the website and have access to their personal account page. The web stores also offer product subscriptions, so customers can have their favorite products sent to them on a recurring basis with an added discount. Product pages offer customers all the flavors and sizes available plus product combos that are sets of products recommended by nutrition professionals. Product combos help customers choose the most efficient set of products with even deeper discounts.

The back end of the ecommerce system is the management and reports part of the solution. Web store products database has an automatic synchronization with the vendors database which keeps real time web store prices and product availability. When the vendor updates pricing, adds new products or discontinues old ones, the changes are automatically applied to the web store during the synchronization. Administrators have an option to manually update products information and pricing as well. All the orders that the web store receives are also processed at the back end. The system features full certified integration with FedEx and USPS and supports multiple shipping locations. The integration includes real time shipping costs calculation during checkout, address verification and labels generation services. Powerful sales reports system generates detailed daily, weekly and monthly reports of the store sales, product sales, conversion rates, checkout logs and even produces sales tax reports.

Data Subsystems, Inc. used advanced search engine optimization techniques for ConditionNutrition.coms web marketing. The site was designed to be search engine friendly and all pages of the web store have optimized headers that are interlinked with each other. The content on the web site was written by professional SEO copwriters. The store engine was integrated with WordPress blog that is regularly updated with latest nutrition news and nutrition products reviews. Customers can share their opinion with the help of implemented survey polls system. Data Subsystems promoted the web store on the internet with the help of advanced external links building techniques, social networks promotions, and social news websites. Data Subsystems also managed Condition Nutrition search engine marketing campaigns to filter paid traffic to the web store. Paid traffic represents an audience that is a lot more targeted than the search engines traffic, thus has a higher conversion rate. Sophisticated custom systems that analyze and promote the best performing keywords of organic and paid traffic ensure successful web marketing campaigns.

Data Facts Credit Solutions Go Mobile

(PRWEB) April 10, 2012

Data Facts has partnered with On The Go Technology, the apps developer, to offer this innovative new way for loan officers and brokers to conduct business. Loan officers and brokers are no longer tied to their desktop, laptop, carbon paper or pen and paper. mobileLO allows lenders to take their tablet on the road and never access an outdated loan origination system again, helping to accumulate more closed loans and in turn, increase profits.

With the free app download and registration, users can generate the Form 1003 and export the information in a Fannie Mae 3.2 data file. A premium subscription is also available which includes the disclosures, e-signature capability, and integration with Data Facts.

Security was a major concern for Data Facts and On The Go Technology. The app uses encrypted connections to transfer data and its security certificate is embedded on the device, preventing hackers from impersonating a connection. Borrower data stored on the iPad is also encrypted. In addition, the disclosure and credit documents are not saved on the device. The documents only exist for the duration of the session, so as soon as they are clicked off of, they are removed from the device. If the device was hacked, there would be no way for the hacker to browse through the Internet cache and find the credit report. It is also recommended that users enable password protection on their iPads.

Data Facts is always looking for cutting edge technology that will help our customers be able to close more loans faster & easier, said Julie Wink, EVP of Data Facts. mobileLO provides the technology loan officers need in 2012, allowing them to fully utilize their iPad to close loans on the go. Security is a number one priority for Data Facts and we were thrilled with the amount of safeguards On The Go Technology included with this app.

TERC"s Diana Nunnaley Joins Professional Development Leaders at Gates-Sponsored Meeting on Effective Use of School Data

(PRWEB) May 16, 2012

Diana Nunnaley, TERCs Using Data Director, was invited to participate in a data literacy meeting sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Meeting organizers Ellen Mandinach of WestEd and Edith Gummer of Education Northwest brought together a diverse group of education experts to create a common understanding of data literacy and provide a foundation for teacher preparation in using data to improve student learning. Nunnaley was one of eight professional development providers at the gathering held May 3 and 4 in San Francisco, which also included researchers and policy makers.

It was reaffirming to participate in discussions that focused on what teachers need to know to do this work, said Nunnaley. Teachers have to be put at the center of the process so that real change can occur at the point of instruction, and the meeting really underscored that point.

Nunnaley was selected to attend the meeting because of the groundbreaking work TERC initiated over a decade ago in the development of its Using Data program. She has helped to hone and streamline the process of collaborative inquiry that engages teachers in cycles of targeted data analysis. TERCs Using Data team has worked in over 23 states, hundreds of districts and schools nationwide building teacher-led data teams and facilitating data analysis techniques and instructional improvement steps that result in increased student achievement.

Data Facts Now Offers The Industrys Best Electronic I-9 System

(PRWEB) June 26, 2012

With over two decades of background screening experience, Data Facts understands and has seen firsthand what can happen to companies that are not up to date with their compliance. In the last few years, Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) have significantly increased audits in relation to I-9 compliance. The number of individuals arrested on administrative immigration violations in work site enforcement cases has grown from 485 in 2002 to 3,667 during 2006.

What is the advantage of using an electronic I-9 system? There are many, according to Lisa P. May, VP of Marketing & Product Development at Data Facts. With E-Verify being mandated by the government in more than 20 states over the next few years, including Tennessee, the electronic I-9 system allows employers to automate their I-9 process, which helps to ensure compliance. And with ICE penalties ranging from $ 275 to $ 11,000, depending on the number of offenses and date the employee was hired, most companies cant afford to do nothing.

Other penalties can occur from using old copies of the I-9 form. With the electronic system, there is no risk of using an old form because the forms will always be up to date. Data Facts I-9 electronic system also assures that input is valid and properly formatted, includes digital signature technology, digital storage in PDF form, multiple order options, expiration notices and an auto purge feature.

MailChimp Announces Big Data Service for Discovering Readers Interests

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 12, 2012

MailChimp today announced Wavelength, its new service that helps users find similar newsletter publishers to partner with. It is a tool for those who are looking to grow their email lists and increase their brand’s reach. In the past, it could be difficult for businesses and publishers to locate like-minded newsletters to cross-promote with in order to reach new potential customers. Wavelength makes it easier.

Renting or buying an email list for marketing purposes is an awful idea, but growing email lists and relationships organically can be a time-consuming process. Wavelength encourages a model of cross-promotion, as users can easily locate and contact lists that share similar subscriber bases. They can then form a relationship with these like-minded businesses and publishers, and develop a plan and partnership which will benefit all parties. MailChimp users can build their lists without compromising the quality and integrity of their current and future relationships.

Wavelength works by relying on the wealth of data MailChimp receives and analyzes regularly. Once a user activates Wavelength, it will automatically analyze a selected MailChimp email list and then locate similar newsletters from amongst MailChimp’s other 2 million users and their 2 billion subscribers. It will then display screenshots of some of those similar users’ recent newsletters (keeping email addresses totally anonymous). A Wavelength user can then take a closer look, see if the chosen newsletters could be a good fit, and then reach out to the publishers and possibly develop partnerships.

Wavelength is part of MailChimps Email Genome Project. Other Genome projects include Omnivore, MailChimps automated abuse detection service, and Unfurlr, a service for uncovering URLs and identifying risky destinations. MailChimp also uses the EGP database for ad hoc research studies like the recent sending analysis showing that Gmail is now the most popular free email domain.

Wavelength is a free service available to all active MailChimp users.

Analytics Data Your Way Free With Piwik Analytics" Brand New Features

(PRWEB) October 26, 2012

Piwik, the world’s leading and free open source web analytics software, has integrated three major new features into the latest release: Transitions, Geolocation, and Internal Site Search. “Piwik is going strong adding new features, roughly once a month” according to Adrian Speyer, Marketing Leader at Piwik. “If you look, Google has shuttered Urchin and AWstats development has stalled. There is little, if any support for those who stick around with those solutions. Piwik has a very strong international team focused on continual improvements, including performance. Just a small sampling of the features added in the past year include: Log Import functionality, Google Analytics API import, improved real-time analytics, reports via SMS, a more powerful iPhone and Android App, Row Evolution, and Do Not Track Support.”

In June 2012, Piwik conducted a user survey which helped reinforce the need for such features to be added to Piwik.

The first new feature users will find, in the new 1.9 release, is called Transitions. This feature allows website owners to see how visitors come to each website page and where they leave to. This will provide website owners with a better way to see how users flow through their website.

The second new feature, is internal site search analytics. Out of the box, Piwik will track users internal site searches and the keywords they use. It uses the standard query strings to achieve this but is fully customizable in the admin settings. Website owners will also be able to determine which keywords resulted in no results, and in turn what content website visitors were looking for.

The third new feature added was GeoIP. GeoIP allows website owners to know the location of user traffic by country, region and city. Users have the option to use one of the following GeoIP solutions that uses the Maxmind database including: GeoIP PHP API, GeoIP PECL extension, GeoIP module for Apache or GeoIP module for Nginx.

With this release, Piwik has also announced plans to move away from Flash-based maps, to a fully open source image technology solution built on Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG).

According to Adrian Speyer, “We are really proud of all these new features and what more we have in store for the future. For companies who consider owning their own data important, such as financial institutions, or organizations and government agencies concerned about respecting user privacy laws, Piwik is a solid choice. Piwik also offers amazing flexibility via a comprehensive API and easy integrations via community plugins for most major CMS products like WordPress or eCommerce solutions like Magento.”

Data Facts Joins Elite Group Awarded Accreditation by the National Association of Professional Background Screeners

Saturday, 12 January 2013

(PRWEB) January 10, 2013 Data Facts, Inc., a leading provider of banking & mortgage solutions, now offers Risk & Retention Alerts for Mortgage Underwriting through Experian. In early 2010, Fannie Mae announced their Loan Quality Initiative (LQI), which provides policy, processes and technology enhancements to help lenders deliver mortgage loans that meet Fannie Maes underwriting and eligibility guidelines and thus mitigate repurchase risk. A major component within the LQI relates to the need for Risk and Retention Alerts, the undisclosed liability policy. Effective June 1, 2010, this policy requires lenders to establish that the borrower has the willingness and ability to repay the debt prior to the closing date. It is the lenders responsibility to have adequate business processes in place to support compliance with Fannie Maes requirements. Fannie Mae recommends in relation to this policy that lenders consider credit reporting monitoring services between the time of the loan application and closing. By utilizing the Risk and Retention Alerts we offer through Experian, lenders receive immediate notification of bankruptcy, collections, or late payments, explains Julie Wink, Executive Vice President of Data Facts. Risk and Retention Alerts provide lenders with a convenient and simple alternative to identify new debt and liabilities, prior to the closing of a loan, as well as a way to identify derogatory and other risky credit behavior quickly, thus mitigating re-purchase risk. Through a longstanding partnership, Data Facts is able to leverage Experians unique File One relational database, where daily alerts provide data within 48 hours of being reported to file. Daily delivery of new updates allow for immediate action on the most critical account events, while event-based alerts pinpoint credit activity for appropriate up-sell, cross-sell, risk or retention strategies.
