MailChimp Announces Integration with Customer Analytics Platform

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 26, 2012

MailChimp today announced an integration with KISSmetrics, a customer analytics platform. KISSmetrics users can now incorporate the emails they send from MailChimp into KISSmetrics’ comprehensive tracking interface. Businesses can see when each of their customers receives, opens, and clicks on a link from within their KISSmetrics account, and how those email interactions impact a user’s experience in the context of other metrics.

KISSmetrics tracks a wealth of data across web, social, email, mobile, and offline channels. It allows a business to view an individual customer’s interaction, or to pull back and focus on the aggregate customer experience. Using this information, businesses can then optimize their offering to improve the way customers interact with their service and increase conversion rates.

Adding this integration lets a business leverage MailChimp’s wealth of email marketing features and services, such as attractive, responsive mobile email templates or advanced list segmentation, within the structure of an overall marketing plan. Businesses can then easily sync the stats from their MailChimp email campaigns into KISSmetrics to track email alongside other metrics.

KISSmetrics features include unlimited funnels that allow businesses to track how customers interact with designated points of contact and how the customer’s experience can be improved. KISSmetrics also features easy to manage A/B Split testing, and provides full user retention reporting.

WordPress Plugin Displays Google Analytics Stats in Dashboard

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 15, 2009

A new plugin for WordPress displays tracking data from Google Analytics, WordPress and MailChimp, all integrated together into a single WordPress dashboard. The plugin is provided free of charge by MailChimp and can be downloaded at the wordpress.org plugin directory . A MailChimp account is not required to access the Google Analytics information.

The Analytics360 Plugin provides a comprehensive view of a blog’s performances, allowing publishers to quickly identify which posts are enjoying the most inbound traffic whether from web site referrals or by email. The traffic-over-time chart shows when a post was published or an email campaign was sent in relation to the numbers of site visits, giving a clear view on cause and effect.

Google Analytics is rich with information. This plugin accesses the most relevant information for a blogger and displays it in an actionable way. For example the plugin displays all blog referral sources and provides a drill down path showing the most popular posts. The plugin also includes a world map. Hovering over a country shows the number of blog visitors from that country. Analytics360 provides real-time access to both Google Analytics and MailChimp allowing for instant date range changes.

“Bringing WordPress and Google Analytics together is like mixing peanut butter with chocolate. A natural fit and prefect to the tastes of power bloggers,” says Ben Chestnut, Co-Founder of MailChimp. “We use both applications heavily and wanted to share our tools with the blogging community at large.”

MailChimp supports email for many blogs with a free RSS-to-Email option that updates subscribers whenever a new post is published. MailChimp also developed a simple to install WordPress plugin to manage email list signups.

The Analytics360 plugin was developed for MailChimp by Crowd Favorite using the Google visualization toolset for rendering the dashboard charts. The plugin will work in the self-hosted versions of WordPress including the multi-user version.

In order to take advantage of this plugin, subscribers need to be running Google Analytics on their WordPress site already. Then all they have to do is download and install the Analytics360 plugin and enter their MailChimp and Google Analytics login info. MailChimp takes care of the rest.

James Schramko Boosts Leads with New Discovery and Gets YouTube Integration, Opt-in Email Marketing, Video Analytics in One Smart Wordpress Plugin

Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) September 11, 2012

SuperFastBusiness and InternetMarketingSpeed founder and CEO James Schramko is asking, Do you want to build your email list faster? Using his existing and new videos on YouTube, Schramko shares hes been testing a few elements that would help optimize his email conversions for all his businesses. From after-post prompts to in-line forms, Schramko found that the tactics usually put off customers who were watching the video. The Internet marketing expert recently revealed on InternetMarketingSpeed.com, I found one method of collecting leads that seems incredibly well accepted by customers.

That method is LeadPlayer. Schramko says, LeadPlayer is software that you install on WordPress and it allows you to add a call to action and/or email captures to your YouTube video embeds.

The Minnesota startup has been creating quite a buzz, with business owners, bloggers, and web marketers singing praises of how crazy easy and awesome the software is for YouTube integration, implementing call-to-action buttons, and adding opt-in boxes. Other popular advantages of the plugin include obtaining valuable video analytics (engagement statistics, revenue calculation, and geolocating customers) and reducing the probability of viewers leaving a website and leaking to YouTube. The creators of LeadPlayer have designed the plug-in to attract audiences, build lists, and promote revenue through videos.

Schramko remarks on InternetMarketingSpeed.com, When you think about it, it makes perfect sense that asking for an email straight after delivering high value content would be optimal. The results are even better when the email capture is directly in the video rather than beside it or nearby. Relevancy is the key. LeadPlayer allows you to have a skip this feature, which is more courteous. Also you can place the opt-in request at the end of the video, which is quite polite. I have found people will watch short videos all the way to the end.

On a recent SuperfastBusiness.com video post, Schramko gave a step-by-step demo on installing LeadPlayer. Using his YouTube interview with renowned and revered direct marketer, Drayton Bird, Schramko illustrates how quick and easy it is to install the plugin, from activating it to changing video settings, from integrating his email list to adding call-to-action buttons. Schramkos little over six-minute demo presents a fuss-free set-up that results in an uncluttered, better-looking video post and an unobtrusive opt-in box at the end. The opt-in box can also appear at the beginning of the video with viewers having the choice to continue to watch.

Aside from providing a straightforward demo of the plugin, Schramko also goes on to say, Installing LeadPlayer on my site has dramatically improved the number of opt-ins from the first site that I installed it on. It really does make a nice clean player. I can see that its something Ill be putting on any site where Ill be putting YouTube videos to the public with WordPress, its a great option.

To find out more on how to use the new plugin for opt-in email marketing, check out James Schramkos demo on SuperFastBusiness.com and on InternetmarketingSpeed.com.

MailChimp Integrates with Customer Analytics Application for eCommerce

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 23, 2012

MailChimp today announced the release of its integration with Custora, a customer analytics tool. Thousands of online retailers use MailChimp for their email marketing. This integration with Custora allows these businesses to better analyze their customers’ behavior, discover new ways to make customers happier, implement those insights, and in turn, make more money using MailChimp.

MailChimp is a powerful tool for anyone who sells something online. Regardless of scale, a business can create beautiful emails, and, with MailChimp’s eCommerce360 plugin, target emails to customers based on how frequently they open emails, what they’ve recently purchased, how much they’ve spent, plus many other options. Sometimes, however, a business needs a deeper understanding of what customers want, how they behave, and what’s actually going to make them satisfied over time.

Custora uses advanced statistical modeling and probability theory to help businesses learn more about their customers, boost revenue for certain customer types, and gain greater knowledge of how to boost sales. It gives small and medium sized businesses the sorts of tools and insights that were previously reserved only for data-crunching giants such as Amazon or Zappo’s.

“We’ve been long-time MailChimp users ourselves, and so it was natural to connect with another platform who shares our vision of making powerful, enterprise-level tools available to a wide audience,” says Custora Co-Founder, Jon Pospischil.

Custora helps businesses answer simple, meaningful questions about themselves and their customers. How much should be spent to gain a new customer? How much will the average customer spend over a two year period? What percentage of revenue is from new customers versus existing ones? Which types of email campaigns make the most money over time?

These sorts of questions can be central to a business’s success, and Custora allows users to dig into the numbers, test hypotheses and accurately gauge how different marketing plans are working. Businesses can then devote more resources to what’s actually getting the job done.

This integration lets MailChimp users continue to leverage their existing email marketing efforts, while incorporating Custora’s features. To get started, a business would use Custora to analyze customer behavior, and segment customers accordingly. They could then automate specialized email campaigns to be sent to those segments via MailChimp’s email delivery infrastructure.

The automation is a powerful piece for businesses. Custora can be set so that customers receive an email when they sign up, when they make their first purchase, every 30 days until they make a purchase, or any other configuration. Businesses can then test different messaging and contact frequencies to refine their email marketing program.

The result is a comprehensive, fully automated email marketing effort that is responsive to different customer types and behaviors. Customers who buy frequently will receive certain types of coupons on preset intervals, tailored to their more extravagant tastes, while customers who havent purchased anything in six months will automatically receive a different coupons or messages designed to bring them back into the fold. The various ways to segment and market to different customers are endless, and all email campaigns are sent automatically through MailChimp.

Custora provides industry-leading, predictive customer analytics for companies like Fab, Threadless, and Etsy”, adds Pospischil. “The new integration with MailChimp enables small and medium sized retailers to take action on the same insights – some MailChimp retailers are already seeing increases in profit per customer of 70% with the integration.”

Analytics Data Your Way Free With Piwik Analytics" Brand New Features

(PRWEB) October 26, 2012

Piwik, the world’s leading and free open source web analytics software, has integrated three major new features into the latest release: Transitions, Geolocation, and Internal Site Search. “Piwik is going strong adding new features, roughly once a month” according to Adrian Speyer, Marketing Leader at Piwik. “If you look, Google has shuttered Urchin and AWstats development has stalled. There is little, if any support for those who stick around with those solutions. Piwik has a very strong international team focused on continual improvements, including performance. Just a small sampling of the features added in the past year include: Log Import functionality, Google Analytics API import, improved real-time analytics, reports via SMS, a more powerful iPhone and Android App, Row Evolution, and Do Not Track Support.”

In June 2012, Piwik conducted a user survey which helped reinforce the need for such features to be added to Piwik.

The first new feature users will find, in the new 1.9 release, is called Transitions. This feature allows website owners to see how visitors come to each website page and where they leave to. This will provide website owners with a better way to see how users flow through their website.

The second new feature, is internal site search analytics. Out of the box, Piwik will track users internal site searches and the keywords they use. It uses the standard query strings to achieve this but is fully customizable in the admin settings. Website owners will also be able to determine which keywords resulted in no results, and in turn what content website visitors were looking for.

The third new feature added was GeoIP. GeoIP allows website owners to know the location of user traffic by country, region and city. Users have the option to use one of the following GeoIP solutions that uses the Maxmind database including: GeoIP PHP API, GeoIP PECL extension, GeoIP module for Apache or GeoIP module for Nginx.

With this release, Piwik has also announced plans to move away from Flash-based maps, to a fully open source image technology solution built on Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG).

According to Adrian Speyer, “We are really proud of all these new features and what more we have in store for the future. For companies who consider owning their own data important, such as financial institutions, or organizations and government agencies concerned about respecting user privacy laws, Piwik is a solid choice. Piwik also offers amazing flexibility via a comprehensive API and easy integrations via community plugins for most major CMS products like WordPress or eCommerce solutions like Magento.”
