Binserver Introduces "TipIt"(beta) Voluntary Micro-Payment and Advertising System that Creates One-Click RSS Delivered Functionality for blogs and Other Digital Content

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) January 25, 2006

Binserver [http://www.binserver.com is in the business of mining unbundled media – a trend toward the elimination of middlemen – such as but not limited to websites, networks, publishers and record labels. The company believes voluntary micro-payments are an incremental step in the creation of sustainable systems for free and unbundled content on the web and elsewhere.

While the web is leading a charge toward unbundled media its catching on in other mediums such as TV where content has been inextricably shackled to networks. According to the CEO, John Bransford, the future is in distribution that unties digital content while still retaining all the allowable rights of ownership including compensation. They believe all forms of digital content will be unbundled – including video.

“I sat on a blue ribbon committee at HBO that was charged with predicting when video on demand would be reality and how to capitalize rather than impeding adoption. HBO has largely implemented our recommendations and, to me, a perfect example of how these companies should prepare for an unbundled media world.”

“Grasping the details of unbundled content is important to fully understanding our plans,” says Bransford. Terry Heaton, a respected media analyst, as a body of research and work in the area. His is to date the best analysis of unbundled media some of which can be found here http://donatacom.com/papers/pomo48.htm.

They started with http://www.Nashvilesnews.net intending to offer citizens generated content. Bransford says, “we worked for nearly a year trying to create an RSS based CMS for automatically formatting and publishing user generated material. That project had some success however things did not gel until we found Marcin Konicki a crack RSS developer who had been working on a similar system.”

“Marcin is the best hands on RSS guy going” says Bransford. “One time I was having a devil of a time trying to subscribe to the CNN headline news podcast. Marcin diagnosed the problem and CNN made the changes. Now it works.”

The second part of our approach to unbundled media is manifest in TipIt. We think content has to be compensated and its in everyones interest to create multiple pathways to that end. Tipit is a simple concept thats yet to be properly engaged. To get a fast idea go to a demo here http://TipIt.ws or here http://nashvillesnews.net/node/54594 then mouse over the TipIt icon.

Its different from the standard Pay Pal tip jar. TipIt is not bound to a website and allows an unlimited number of content owners to be aggregated on a site but paid directly. The usual tip jar forces all payment to the website which is not feasible in a world where the publisher doesnt know and doesnt want to deal with tracking every site that might subscribe to his feed. The TipIt, when enabled by the content producers, can stay with the content wherever it is fed using RSS 2.0. Content publishers can find more information on the companys information site http://www.TipIt.ws and blog tipit.wordpress.com .

The next iteration will be what they call the Info TipIt. An appreciative reader can pay the writer without spending money by using the TipIt to view an ad. Again they mouse over to read an ad and the action is recorded – i.e. that they did it and the content is reimbursed. “From an advertisers perspective it promotes a cost per desired action achieved for which they are willing to pay a premium. The content gets compensated and the website receives promotion from our main site if they want.”

MailChimp Announces Email Advertising Integration with LaunchBit

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 14, 2012

MailChimp today announced an integration with LaunchBit, an advertising network for email. This service connects high quality email publishers and advertisers. Companies can reach into developed, niche markets through a trusted source, publishers are compensated, and subscribers hear about products and services relevant to their interests. LaunchBit’s integration with MailChimp streamlines this process.

Email is one of the most effective channels through which businesses can connect with people. However, the process of partnering companies with relevant email newsletters can be inefficient. For publishers, it can be time consuming and difficult to sell ads. Plus many existing ad networks just drop random ad content into an otherwise stellar newsletter, and for a publisher who has worked hard to gain an audience’s trust, this can be a disaster. For advertisers, it can be equally tough to find complementary newsletters, ensuring reach to the right audiences.

LaunchBit organizes publishers and advertisers, so it’s simple for a business to contact a relevant newsletter, or for a publisher to select an advertiser or promotional partner for themselves. The ads are text based with just a small image so a promotion feels more like extra content, rather than an intrusive advertisement. LaunchBit also screens both publishers and advertisers to guarantee the quality of the newsletter and of the advertisement.

“We’re excited to partner with MailChimp to help newsletter publishers monetize their emails with great-looking advertising.” says Elizabeth Yin, LaunchBit CEO. “The future of advertising is really just quality content, and we think this is a first step in that direction.”

LaunchBit managed ads are text-based with a small image, rather than a full-scale banner ad, and match the tone of the given newsletter. Publishers have full control over which ads are published, can pick and choose which advertisers to partner with, and can accept or reject any partnership offer.

To start the process, a publisher first syncs his or her MailChimp account with LaunchBit, and then just needs to insert a short line of HTML with merge tags into their MailChimp template to enable advertising in their newsletter. A publisher can then select advertising partners within LaunchBit, and the selected ad content will be automatically placed into the appropriate spot within the email in MailChimp.

One publisher using LaunchBit since their launch is Hacker Newsletter, started by Kale Davis. LaunchBit has been a great partner to work with and has allowed me to focus on creating great issues instead of finding advertisers. says Kale. Their new integration with MailChimp makes it even easier and the relevant advertisers add more value for the subscribers of my newsletter.

MailChimp users can visit here (http://www.launchbit.com/mailchimp/) for more info. Advertisers and publishers can apply to join LaunchBit here http://www.launchbit.com/apply-to-join/

There are lots of local shots of cities like Anaheim, Laguna Beach, and everything that represents The OC. The site is up and starting to sell great local images that reflect the lifestyle and feel of Orange County. Right now about a dozen photographers are contributing to the site but Frohlich expects to double that by the end of the year. New Automotive Advertising Network Puts Dealers On Top Of Search Engines and Social Networks

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 26, 2010

The Automotive Advertising Network was launched at the Digital Dealer Conference in Orlando, Florida, this week. The Automotive Advertising Network(AAN) is the first dealer powered advertising network that provides members with unlimited leads and online promotion of their inventory on national, regional and local websites that are strategically positioned to appear on top of the most popular search engines, social networks and blogs.

The network was created by industry veterans Brian Pasch, Sean Wolfington and David Boice to help dealers generate more leads for less cost. The member dealers are using their collective power to compete with 3rd party lead providers who historically have had a big advantage on the search engines because of their national footprint and corresponding search authority. The networks advertising technology gives dealers broader exposure for their new and used inventory online by helping them appear where customers start their shopping process search engines and social media Web sites like Facebook, said Pasch.

It is very difficult for dealers to come up on top of the search engines for these phrases because there are many lead providers competing for the same 10 results on the first-page, explained Wolfington. “The network has the national and regional search authority so our vehicles appear on top of the results in our market,” said Brian Benstock, GM of Paragon Honda/Acura, the #1 selling Honda/Acura dealer in the world. “All of our vehicles that are listed on the network link back to our dealership website so our website gets more traffic and relevance on search engines because we inherit the search authority of the network.”

“Many third-party lead providers sell the same leads to multiple dealers and this hurts the closing ratio and average gross profit because many dealers are chasing the same lead,” said Benstock. “The network gives us exclusive leads that are not sold to other dealers so the closing ratio is a lot higher.” “Dealers prefer leads that are not sold to multiple dealers because they generate better returns,” said David Boice.

The Automotive Advertising Network gives local dealers a national footprint to increase their authority so they appear ahead of the lead providers for popular national and regional search phrases. The network helps us dominate search results for every day search phrases that are the bread and butter for organic traffic and first party leads, said Timothy Martell, Internet Director of the Albrecht Group in Massachusetts.

We have a smart strategy to optimize our own Web site to appear on top for local search, but the network helps us reach people who type in the more popular national and regional search phrases like Toyota recall, added Alex Snyder from Checkered Flag Toyota in Virginia Beach. The Automotive Advertising Network powers hundreds of consumer sites that are optimized to appear on Google Page One for the most popular national and regional search phrases like “Boston Dealers”, a phrase that receives over 20,000 consumer searches a month.

All our cars are available for consumers to see on CarDealerSale.com and the hundreds of regional and local sites that have top position on the search engines, Snyder said. The ad network is our best new source of leads because they have a high closing ratio and are inexpensive because we pay a flat fee no matter how many leads we receive, said Jon Sherrell, Internet Director at the Rairdon Group in Washington state.

Participating dealers pay a small membership fee to join the Automotive Advertising Network ($ 995). And they receive:
