Scrapblog Brings Creative Freedom to Custom Photo Books and Greeting Cards

Miami, FL (PRWEB) September 30, 2008

Scrapblog, the leading service for creating and sharing multimedia scrapbooks online, today announced the introduction of its custom printing service.

With more than 3 million scrapbook pages created since its launch in 2007, Scrapblog’s free and easy-to-use web-based application offers users the ability share online and now transform their one-of-a-kind scrapbooks into high-quality books, postcards and greeting cards. Scrapblog offers unprecedented creative leeway with hundreds of professionally designed layouts and thousands of creative elements by top artists and scrapbook designers.

“Scrapblog enhances the experience of creating a book or a card online by giving people full creative freedom,” said Carlos Garcia, CEO and Founder of Scrapblog. “Unlike cookie-cutter templates, layouts in Scrapblog can be changed and mixed to create truly personalized keepsakes.”

Keeping its commitment to quality, all books and cards ordered from Scrapblog are printed on acid-free silk paper, meticulously bound to maximize durability, and manufactured in the United States. Additionally, all Scrapblog printed products use controlled forestry paper bearing the Forest Stewardship Council seal, which guarantees the paper comes from forests that are managed to help conserve natural resources and protect the environment.

“As the most requested feature from our users, printing is a natural extension of the boundless creativity made possible with Scrapblog,” said Scrapblog Community Manager Rebecca Saylor. “With Halloween and Christmas quickly approaching, Scrapblog books make a perfect gift for those that want to give and receive something personal and unique, while Scrapblog greeting cards and postcards are great for creating custom invitations, greeting and thank-you cards.”

Scrapblog offers unparalleled flexibility, allowing users to create multiple products from the same designs without starting over. Users can mix their photos, videos, audio, text and various expressive elements without any necessary downloads from their computer or their favorite social media sites including YouTube, Photobucket and Flickr. Once created, Scrapblogs can be shared with just a few friends or the entire world as it currently supports direct publishing to Blogger, Typepad, WordPress, Flickr, MySpace, Facebook and other popular social networking platforms.

Pages made in Scrapblog are safely stored online, which not only eliminates the risk of lost or misplaced creations, but also means that users can access their work from any computer connected to the Internet to continue creating, sharing or printing their scrapbooks.

“Scrapblog allows people to create tangible keepsakes and share their creations online from one single interface,” said Garcia. “This duality of product creation and online sharing is the best of both worlds for people who want to share and preserve their memories in the most personalized, creative way.”

Blackwave Creative Helps Naked Cowboy Run for Mayor of New York City

Parsippany, NJ (PRWEB) July 23, 2009

(http://www.blackwave.net) At a practically nude briefing held in the middle of Time Square on July 22 at 11 a.m., Naked Cowboy for New York City Mayor campaign was officially launched to help the internationally revered busker play a more political tune uptown at Gracie Mansion.

As a globally recognized one man brand who wears a hat, boots, briefs and a guitar as he plays his signature cowboy tunes to Time Square listeners, Naked Cowboy has won over audiences with his lyrical wails and lack of wardrobe. He has strummed guitar on MTV and talk shows. He toured the U.S. and the U.K. He even appeared in the Super Bowl XLI television spot for Chevrolet. And on July 22, he joined NYC’s mayoral race.

“I am entering the race for the office of the Mayor of New York City. Why? Well, right now this city can’t afford wasteful spending,” Naked Cowboy announced to a large crowd at the corners of Times Square on Wednesday morning. “It’s time to tighten the belt, but of course that’s just a saying because I don’t even wear a belt.”

Blackwave Creative, a full-service online branding agency based in Parsippany, NJ, helped launch the web campaign with the “do more with less” slogan. It started with http://www.nakedcowboy.com, a one page Flash site that played “Hail to the Chief” and touted Wednesday’s Time Square announcement with links to active social media channels, namely MySpace, Twitter and The Naked Cowboy fan page on Facebook.

“We were pleased to be a part of Naked Cowboy’s campaign kick-off for mayor of one of the most lively cities in the world,” said Blackwave Creative’s VP of Marketing, Jeff Swan. “Naked Cowboy chose Blackwave for our dedication and passion for small businesses and how well we can boost these unique brands online.”

The online branding firm has offered to continue to assist Naked Cowboy’s political ambition throughout his campaign with http://www.nakedcowboyformayor.com, a central online location for candidate news, positions on issues, press releases, upcoming events and endorsement details. Links to social media channels have been placed at the bottom of the first page, including a flickr photostream of Naked Cowboy sightings.

“The site complies with all state and federal regulations. It adheres to the overall campaign brand and style. It functions on a WordPress backend,” added Vincent Mazza, General Manager and Founder of Blackwave Creative. “We’ll continue to offer Naked Cowboy the tools he needs engage his supporters with strategic social activity.”

3500 Soldiers Enlisted in the First Creative War

(PRWEB) August 31, 2009

On August 10th 3500 designers stepped on to Guerra Creativa’s online battlefield. Each designer is unique and comes with his or her own artistic weaponry. They come from all over the world with various levels of expertise. Their styles, interests, values and skills create a diverse community that will change the borders of the design world permanently.

Connaxis, a company based in Buenos Aires Argentina, posted the first battle brief to create the logo for Guerra Creativa at the beginning of August. By the end of the month, 110 creatives participated in the first battle, uploading 377 designs which gave the company a wide range of logos to choose from. The new platform can be used by companies to crowdsource creative work to a community of quality designers. It sets itself apart from other crowdsourcing initiatives due to its playful battlefield concept, community arena, profiling functionality, modern design and multilingual application.

Peter van Grinsven, Managing Director of Connaxis, says the following about the company’s latest initiative: “Thousands of companies are started every day. In the past these companies, whilst considering a logo or web design, ran the risk of limited choice, bad design, high price or provider lock-in which made the whole process problematic. Now, with Guerra Creativa, everyone has access to affordable design and choice. You name your price, watch designers compete for your work and finally you choose the best design. Guerra Creativa is a showcase for the skills of the three Connaxis business units: Internet Marketing, Web Development and Support. Connaxis markets, designs, programs and supports the Guerra Creativa online application. We can successfully position, launch and support any online business”. Cristian Fernandez, Creative Director of Connaxis points out that “Guerra Creativa is the ideal internet community for the creative. It provides access to international clients and can improve his or her chances in the global marketplace by publishing a profile and portfolio, all whilst competing in contests for cash prizes and making new creative friends!”

We asked Stephan Vassen, General Manager of Guerra Creativa how they came up with the slogan: “You might lose a battle but you can win the war”. Stephan explains: “We acknowledge that when entering a logo or design contest there can only be one winner. However, Guerra Creativa provides real world experience with the necessary training to improve skills in order to help the creative succeed as a professional. Therefore we say that a creative might lose a battle but can ultimately win the creative war.”

Zero-G Creative Solves Biggest Challenges to Blogging with New Bloggernaut Social Media Service

Roswell, GA (PRWEB) January 25, 2011

Zero-G Creative, the Atlanta area small business marketing and web design firm, announced today the launch of their new Bloggernaut managed social media service. Bloggernaut solves the biggest challenges of starting and maintaining a blog – time and authenticity – with a professional, affordable program that for the business owner may require as little time as an hour each month.

“Despite the fact that blogging has long been established as an excellent means for building credibility and driving web traffic, many small business people still don’t use a blog for marketing, mostly because of the time involved in properly maintaining a blog,” explains Erik Wolf, president of Zero-G Creative.

Bloggernaut is designed to give the small business owners who are interested in taking advantage of the many benefits of blogging – like thought leadership, relationship building and social networking – an affordable and efficient avenue to getting their expert message published while minimizing the actual time investment.

“Blogging can be effective part of many b2b marketing strategies but the main obstacle and cost of entry is the continued time and effort required on a weekly and daily basis from the business owner or subject matter expert,” continues Wolf. “Our new service Bloggernaut is designed specifically to facilitate regular and authentic blog updates for busy managers and entrepreneurs.”

More than 20,000 new blogs are created each week on the WordPress platform alone yet after just a few weeks, many of those well-intended bloggers stop posting and their sites go dormant. Sites not updated regularly fall out of favor with readers and are no longer indexed by search engine tools like Technorati.com.

“Bloggernaut is just what busy businesspeople need,” states Jamie Turner, Chief Content Officer for The 60 Second Marketer and co-author of How to Make Money with Social Media. “It’s a great way to stay in touch with prospects and customers, without spending inordinate amounts of time writing new content every day.”

Bloggernaut clients participate in 1-2 guided telephone interviews each month where real, authentic content is captured then transcribed and edited for a series of blog posts. The Bloggernaut team also creates and maintains an editorial calendar for each blogger and uses the topics outlined in the editorial calendar to drive the interviews. The blog editing, approval, scheduling and posting process is facilitated through the WordPress blogging platform.

“Bloggernaut is an authentic approach to managed content that relies on editors, not ghost writers,” concludes Wolf. “Everything that is published comes from you and in our opinion that is the most important part of any social network development.”

Enve Creative Develops WordPress Website for 10 West Self Storage

Torrington, Connecticut (PRWEB) July 31, 2012

Enve Creative has launched a search engine optimized WordPress and HTML5 website at http://10westselfstorage.com for 10 West Self Storage. 10 West Self Storage offers climate-controlled self-storage units and lockers, at various sizes, to businesses and individuals in and around Morris, Connecticut.

Owner Sarah Espano, lead designer for the project, worked hand-in-hand with the owner and operator of 10 West Self Storage to develop an upscale, easy-to-navigate online experience for his prospective clientele. The basic sketch provided by the business owner was developed into a content-rich resource and self-storage guide.

The owner indicated his desire to use the website to attract high-end clientele who would most likely benefit from his climate-controlled facility. The color scheme, layout, and feel of the website is designed to meet that goal, as well as to mimic the color scheme of the interior of the building itself.

Enve visited the location to take high-quality photographs of the bright, clean facility and the individual self-storage units. They created schematic drawings of each self-storage unit to give an exact understanding of scale, and developed copy for the Storage Units page to describe what each unit might best hold. Each storage unit type was then paired with its own photo gallery to entice prospects to request an appointment to tour the facility.

Two content-rich pages that Enve built into the site became essential add-ons for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes: Storing at 10 West and Storage & Packing Tips. They provide guidelines and helpful advice for how best to maximize the self-storage experience.

It can be challenging to transform a website this size, with such a focused purpose, into more than just a run-of-the-mill brochure website, Espano says. During our initial research stage, we discovered how similar businesses were making something as straightforward as self-storage into an opportunity for educating their clientele. We integrated these two pages into the 10 West website because we wanted to set it apart from the other Connecticut self-storage facilities, while also providing valuable tips for the intended audience.

Another key feature of the website is the ability for existing clients to pay their bills online via credit card or direct debit through a secure payment network.

To help ensure wider reach for the local business, Enve listed it with Bing Business and Google Places. The client had requested the ability to maintain the website on his own, so Enve elected to build the website on a WordPress platform. Following launch, they created a detailed set of screencast training videos for the owner to reference going forward.

63% of GraphicDesign.com Readers Would Consider an Adobe Creative Cloud Membership

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) June 15, 2012

A recent poll conducted on GraphicDesign.com revealed that 63% of readers, or nearly two-thirds, would consider purchasing an Adobe Creative Cloud membership. Purchasers of the plan pay between $ 49.99 and $ 74.99 per month in order to access Adobe’s suite of products instead of shelling out hundreds of dollars per title.

Not all GraphicDesign.com readers were sold, however. Among those who would not recommend an Adobe Creative Cloud membership was one reader who vented his frustrations: “Avoid this product. Its not even beta. The Adobe Application Manager fails to install some of the apps on any drive other than C: and the products won’t run if you are not on the internet or if Adobe’s license servers are unreachable.”

GraphicDesign.com visitors were split on the Creative Cloud’s pricing. Fifty-two percent of readers answered “Expensive” when asked, “What do you think about the Creative Cloud membership price of $ 49.99/month with the annual plan and $ 74.99/month with the month-to-month payment plan?” However, 41% said the product was fairly priced. Only 7% of respondents considered the monthly price tag inexpensive.

Also discussed recently on GraphicDesign.com was an interview with ElegantThemes.com founder and developer Nick Roach. ElegantThemes.com is one of the largest producers of WordPress themes in the world and emphasizes design simplicity over crowded functionality.

Readers of GraphicDesign.com weren’t sold on a theme’s design being more important than its functionality, however, as the votes were evenly split between the two options. Therefore, the debate between the “Design” and “Functionality” camps will continue to rage on.

GraphicDesign.com readers were also deadlocked on whether a subscription or a la carte pricing strategy was preferred for purchasing themes. ElegantThemes.com features a subscription-based model that allows users to access to all of the company’s nearly 100 themes in similar fashion to the Adobe Creative Cloud. The site sells to both end users and other developers.

Finally, a healthy 93% of GraphicDesign.com users said it was “Extremely Important” for a website’s or theme’s appearance to adapt when being viewed on a mobile device. To that end, ElegantThemes.com has rolled out “responsive” themes whose appearances adjust to a viewer’s screen size.

Roach gave his take on why “responsive” themes were central to his company’s development efforts: “The way we browse the internet is changing a lot. Smartphones and tablets are being introduced. Creating themes that change and adapt depending on the device is really important.”

Phoenix Creative Web Design & Marketing Specialist Gives Popular Mesa/Gilbert Restaurant Flancer"s Website Fresh New Look and Personality

Gilbert, Arizona (PRWEB) August 22, 2012

Chris Rosepapa, Owner and Creative Director at Rosepapa Creative, recently took on a website redesign project she considered both fun and challenging. The project involved giving the website of Flancer’s in Arizona a fun new look and feel that reflects the restaurant’s personality and highlights the foods and events central to the popularity of the restaurant.

During the course of the website redesign project, Rosepapa gave Flancer’s brand a makeover and new logo design as well. She continues to work with Jeff Flancer, owner of Flancer’s, on creative marketing. Filled with fun and interactive features which were coded in to the website, Rosepapa worked to incorporate the personality and atmosphere central to the two restaurants. Jeff Flancer’s love of music spills over into the theme of the restaurants with the record covers he collects and uniquely named menu items such as the “Two Tickets to Paradise” shrimp warm.

Although Rosepapa said that the project was extremely involved and demanded an intense level of design work along with a substantial amount of programming required of the company’s WordPress developer for proper functioning, her team worked in unison to successfully reach the client’s vision. Ultimately, the experience of the team as a whole allowed the project to be completed to the client’s satisfaction in a seamless manner. The Phoenix website design, branding and marketing company focuses on bringing client’s visions for their business to life, maintaining consistency throughout all phases of marketing and web presence.

Jeff Flancer stated, “Rosepapa Creative’s follow through from start to finish on the Flancer’s website was awesome. Besides the creative aspect, Chris was able to tie all the essential branding elements together.”

The new web design of the Flancer’s website reflects the owner’s passion and the fun, relaxed, and inviting atmosphere of his restaurants which are filled with music and memorabilia.

Chris Rosepapa had this to say: ” I really enjoyed working with Jeff and bringing the personality of his restaurant into the design of his logo and website. Flancer’s is also one of my favorite restaurants and the people there are amazing. We added some fun and quirky elements to the website that would engage the viewers and also showcase the great food and atmosphere.”

Rosepapa is thrilled with the results of the efforts of her team on this web design project and invites those interested in learning more about the company’s services to visit http://www.rosepapacreative.com.
