Team Up For More Than $7 Billion in SE Marketing

(PRWEB) August 19, 2005

New Orleans, LA – Approximately $ 7 billion* in annual spending is expected for the search engine (SE) marketing industry by 2007. And members at Content Desk, an Internet content syndication center and a source of high-quality, targeted content for webmasters, are excited to be a team of go-getters and share in the bounty.

“Monetizing our websites doesn’t just mean finding the best paying advertising and affiliate programs to put on our sites,” said Jack Humphrey, managing partner in the exclusive Content Desk Charter Members publishing group. “But making the most of the visitors we get, to keep them coming back and clicking on ads and buying from us again and again.”

And Humphrey does mean a LOT of visitors and clicks. Research shows that marketers will be targeting 15% of their budget to search engine marketing. In fact, marketers anticipate spending $ 3.3 billion on paid search listings and $ 238.5 million on site optimization services, according to MarketingSherpa’s Marketing Metrics Guide (2004). ** So that’s a lot of bounty to share.

“The only way to do that is to have updated, valuable information that Internet visitors are trying to find,” explained Humphrey. “BE that resource for them and you will reap rewards far beyond what you may have already experienced with plain directory sites.”

Content Desk has a variety of tools to help members create and use all types of content. The exclusive online community focuses on four things; community, learning, technology and profits.

“We cover a slew of tactics we are using for members, including all the successful and not so successful tests we have done to pull in more traffic and more profits for our content publishing networks,” said Humphrey. “We are in the right place at the right time.”

Charter member David Granoff shared his experience with Content

Desk.

INTERVIEW: DAVID GRANOFF

Q: How did you learn about Content Desk & what made you decide to sign up?

I heard about Content Desk through one of my Internet marketing newsletters, and after 2 years of building sites “the hard way” and another 2 years of working with a partner building “resource sites” that I wasn’t particularly proud of; I decided there must be a better way to build high-quality sites. I’ve been very happy with the site building system, the very supportive ContentDest partners, and the great community of like-minded members.

Q: Please share how you’ve successfully used the tools in Content Desk / Content Site Builder so far.

I’ve built a number of sites in the past few months, in various niches, experimenting with various formats – it’s very important to try different things and see what actually works. Sometimes the most “elegant” approach is not the most profitable, and the rules are always changing. Here are a few representative sites, in which I’ve used professionally-developed templates, home-made templates, and blogs like WordPress:

Multi-Level Marketers Can Do More For Less With A Dynamic New Training System From Matrix Management Group

New York, NY (PRWEB) July 13, 2006

One of the biggest mistakes new internet business owners make is failing to educate themselves sufficiently about the how to of business on the internet. Most new or part time marketers spend way too much time looking for what to market and how to get a quick score. Matrix Management Group has just released a training system called “Traffic Mountain for those looking to develop a successful home based business or a currently existing one.

“You can’t speak any language without the alphabet, so how can you create a successful company without knowing the basics of building a business?” asked Matrix co-founder Eric DeRose.

According to Matrix co-founder Eric Levi, the “…yours isn’t working so buy mine” business doesnt work any more. There are a lot of internet business systems. Many are premised upon other people duplicating or replicating a business model. Problem is that not everyone is playing with the same internet, computer or business ability. They often have different time, job and family circumstances that make it impossible to duplicate something others are doing. So if you get lucky, and your system works, thats a great thing but it is rare. More often than not, the people who are trying to duplicate the system have less time, desire, and dedication than those who market full time on the internet and make a lot of money. Even the go getters of the world cant duplicate a system premised upon others doing things to put money in their pockets.

Levi adds what you end up with is the dog chasing the tail syndrome. Thats where there is a central person, lets call him Up line, and Up lines function is to locate others and sell them on his opportunity. He hopes that these people will be interested and able to duplicate his system, lets call those people down line. Well what instruction does up line tell down line to help them build a business? What tools does he have in his opportunity to teach down line how to duplicate his abilities?

Levi states that in my experience the answer was always the same. Buy more leads, make more calls ands work harder and youll make more. That is what Mr. up line tells Mr. Down line and in many cases, well intentioned as Mr. Up line is, thats all he says. To me, that was what my boss at my last job used to tell me when he didnt have any answers, Levi adds. Well why any one would want that, when most people already have a job and hear that everyday. Many people start home based businesses for extra money with the hope of getting better answers than that and, one day, getting rid of their boss for good. Thats why I started Levi says. What happens so often is failure so you have people scrambling around looking for the next hot item or the flavor of the month? The internet fad of the month club Levi calls it.

What happens is you have marketers making calls all day and night telling people that mine is better than yours, so quit yours and join mine and youll make money. Then comes the nightly opportunity call where some unknown person, whose the up line of all up lines tells everyone to get out there and sell. High pressure sales and questionable representations about how much money they are going to make if they just let the system do the work. That almost always involves a three way call to better beat down the poor potential customer until he grudgingly takes out his wallet and buys in. Not knowing any better, the new client is given some web page and a duplicate opt in so that now his potential customers can get into the sales page and get sold.

SOLUTIONS

Matrix Management offers two outstanding solutions to this dilemma. First, Lead Mountain a list building system that offers unique one of kind information to teach how to get paid first with solid retail products instead of hoping others will do what they are supposed to do. Yuck MLM, its not a dirty word but without some quality retail product and a set of instructions, such as Lead Mountain, its a recipe for disaster. Always was and will be. DeRose ads we tried all of the opportunities and they were basically the same. Empty promises with no substance to help people build a business of their own.

Lead Mountain, MMGs version of the List Dragon, has a FREE Newsletter, two free audio CDs, a free PDF and free 800 recordings accessible to customers and allows them to listen and learn for FREE without having any sales people calling. Its an information era. So why not give as much information as you can so that up line can make sure that down line can build a business. In that regard its a bonanza for up line and down line. Every body wins. It also creates independence in a business that seems to foster dependence for those who are sick and tired of being told what to do!

Once you learn how to set up and build a business, and you know the basics, youve given yourself a real chance at success says Levi. Lead Mountain is a blueprint for building down line, becoming up line and being able to stand in front of people and say now I know how. Then there are endless possibilities out there. Derose and Levi both insist that once you can build a business on the Internet, you can build multiple businesses at the same time. But you must know the basics Levi points out again.

Matrix Management also offers a turbo, ramp-up explosive software package that will absolutely blow up your competitors. Levi says, We have tested them all and only offer for sale those products we have tested, know work and use everyday ourselves. Matrix Management offers a FREE seven day commando lesson course that explains the basic understanding of how the internet works and then after some FREE test runs, how to jack up the volume to maximum and watch as your golden ATM begins to turn chaos into cash.

Traffic Mountain is Matrix Managements newest course that explains how the company literally exploded their business off the charts in about six months. Levi says we were absolutely no where and getting no where quickly. The Traffic Mountain products, together and separately, can let the professional full time marketer provide a solution to the problem of down line duplication. DeRose adds, wouldnt it be explosive if your down line could build a business as big and as fast as you did? Levi points out, what if you got paid before your down line showed up or was ever needed in the first place?

Levi says that Traffic Mountain also levels the playing field in that new comers and part timers have a blueprint to follow that wont break the bank and still allows explosive growth and expertise with click of the button speed and accuracy.

We saw the results as our web site became one of the top 100,000 most popular web sites (since March 15, 2006), says Levi. Doesnt sound like much, buy having a web site or web pages that are in the top 1% of all sites in the world makes it really fun and profitable. Its a numbers game after that. The more you can create thousands of key word enriched pages that people use to find your product or service on the internet, the more people can find you amongst the tens of millions of web sites in the world. Its like having ten thousand lottery tickets instead of one.

Traffic Mountain also teaches how to use pay per click advertisement to create a finite budget and guaranteed instant traffic to your web pages. When we did the cold calling, high pressure sales, we were the hunters. Now with these software tools and a basic understanding of the internet we get millions of views every month, We have gone from hunter to hunted says DeRose.

Traffic Mountain teaches 10 of the hottest secrets that will allow you to never pay for leads or traffic again. Link popularity, Search Engine Optimization, content infusion, with articles, blogs, and pinging services that let the search engine know, that there is new content rich information t

JumpBox Ships Four New Virtual Appliances, Sends Seven More to Beta-Testing

Tempe, AZ (PRWEB) December 12, 2007

JumpBox, Inc. (http://www.jumpbox.com), an innovative provider of virtual appliances, today announced that they have extended their product line to include Jumpboxes for four additional Open Source applications: Alfresco, OTRS, Bugzilla and Mantis. The JumpBox production library currently contains virtual appliances for other popular Open Source applications, including: Drupal, Joomla!, MediaWiki, DokuWiki, PunBB, WordPress, vTiger CRM, TWiki and Trac/Subversion. As with all Jumpboxes, deployment of these new applications is now faster than ever before, and requires minimal technical skill. Plus, automated backups and a consistent web based control panel simplify continued usage.

These four applications are the first graduates from the JumpBox Proving Grounds (http://www.jumpbox.net). This invite-only community provides its 470+ members with early access to beta JumpBoxes, special offers and news that otherwise is not available to the public. Recent additions to the Proving Grounds include: PmWiki, TikiWiki, Moin Moin, Redmine, Moodle, PhpBB and Cacti. These join Joomla! 1.5, Silverstripe, Project Pier and OpenLDAP.

“The Proving Grounds were developed to get rich user feedback on our products, which ultimately allows us to release better applications faster,” said Sean Tierney, Co-founder and COO of JumpBox. “We are thrilled to be “graduating” our first four apps, and want to thank all the Proving Grounds members for their participation and feedback.”

JumpBoxes bundle an entire application stack into a turn-key, pre-configured unit that runs on top of virtualization software such as VMWare, Xen, Parallels Virtual Iron, and Microsoft Virtualization. Typical deployment of these applications might take someone hours or days, but with a JumpBox it takes minutes – allowing people to focus on using software instead of getting it to work properly.

“JumpBoxes are an extremely efficient and effective way to evaluate and deploy software packages,” noted Kimbro Staken, JumpBox Co-founder and CEO. “and with this inherent simplicity of JumpBox, we are bringing the power of open source software to a whole new audience.”

About JumpBox Inc.

JumpBox was founded in 2006 with the goal of making the deployment and management of server software dramatically easier. The company’s JumpBoxes are virtual appliances that make this goal a reality. How to Get More Sales from Public Relations and Marketing Dollars

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 16, 2009

Chris Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton Hotels Corporation, suggested at the 2009 ALIS Hotel Leader’s Outlook panel that the rebound would not be immediate because “the psychological impact was too great.” Many have been psychologically impacted over the past year. Businesses in the global hospitality industry are in the wringer. The bright side is that when a company goes through a wringer, what remains is the true value in the business.

A firm can still squeeze more value from its public relations and digital marketing dollars with these four steps:

1. Assess company strength. Outsource the rest

Make an honest evaluation of the time plus digital marketing and public relations resources that are in-house – outsource the rest.

2. Develop high-value content. Export it consistently.

With the shrinking news hole and proliferation of social media outlets, it is tempting to get caught up in the excitement of the medium. In fact, the most important marketing exercise a company can undergo is a deep dive into its message. What is a company’s true value-add? What is its differentiator? What business problem does the company solve? Answer these questions first, simplify the message and then consistently distribute it.

3. Search engine optimize everything.

Search is the new homepage. A company’s keywords should be thoroughly researched, then sprinkled through every piece of writing and micro-writing that it distributes. Thanks to @stacywms for her blog series on “How to Leverage Social Media for Search Engine Optimization,” which explores SEO for each social media tactic. Take a look.

4. Embrace social media technology to save time.

Social media will hit a tipping point of credibility and use in the hospitality and tourism industry in 2010 and will yield lucrative ROI strategies. Get started now, with one tactic at a time. Here is an effective tutorial on how to tap Twitter’s power in 30 minutes a day.

A Business Blog can be as Profitable as a Professional Website. This Trend Becomes More Newsworthy by the Day

Douglasville, GA (PRWEB) May 26, 2010

More and more people are taking a hard look at starting an online business using weblogs. Over the years blogs have played a low profile role in online sales and marketing campaigns, whereas today we have seen them become the face of many small online businesses and even some corporations. Web 2.0 (the diverse spectrum of instant online communication) has made it easier to become interactive in ways which we were unable to achieve in the past. There are so many mediums through which communication can be implemented, that everyday people can reach out to the online world and promote a product or service with tools they never knew existed. Blogging, RSS Feed, Atom feed, micro-blogging, multiple instant messaging and even programs with which you can telephone people internationally for free or almost no cost. These free tools can equip and empower everyday people with a necessary means of running a legitimate communications or products service.

As a result of such diversity people tend to take notice every time new applications come to light. The internet is in our PDA, our Blackberry, even our cell phones. The television and gaming consoles can readily access the internet as well. The world is constantly being driven by these changing venues and evolving Web 2.0 technologies. Also because this has happened so quickly, it’s just that much more compelling. Even third world countries seem to be obsessed with the world wide web. India could be flooding, facing a devastating drought or even a terrorist attack; yet business goes on and their social structure is changing more rapidly than any other culture in modern history. This kind of change happens because the world wide web makes communication and interactivity so easily accessible.

In spite of all these ways which the internet has impacted the entire planet, most people are completely unaware of how easy and cost effective it is to get started in online business. Most of them believe that you need an expensive web designer to build your website and maintain it for you. This is untrue. There are some excellent hosting services that will host your domain for less than $ 10 per month and the blog can be installed as a feature included in your hosting package and you build it yourself. This is one of the most popular venues out there today, using a system called Fantastico, which instantly installs a WordPress blog into a domain root, literally at the push of a button. However even people without computers can go to the library, sign on to Blogger and build their own blog absolutely free. These blogs are sub-domains in the blog service and can be used to promote products and services on the world wide web for absolutely free.

At this point all they do is pick an affiliate product from one of the millions to be found within various affiliate marketing companies. These companies allow vendors to sell products by using independent affiliates to promote them. The affiliate just places the product on a blog or website and makes straight commissions on any sales accrued through his or her affiliate link. Clickbank, Commission Junction or Google Affiliate Network are all free to join, reliable affiliate marketing programs, wherin a person can find literally millions of products and services to sell as an affiliate. Be it clothing, bridal wear, jewelry, electronics, pianos, mp3 downloads, internet marketing software, computers, cell phones, ipods, ipads; the list goes on forever! Anybody can start an online business for cheap or even nothing, using a fully functional weblog as a website to promote products and services. They can post daily content about their niche and target their market, using keyword identification and interactive blogging with other like domains and bloggers. This market is now so target rich that anyone can set a reasonable marketing goal and achieve it. Blogging puts all the communications and promotions tools at the fingertips of anyone who is willing to try.

Tumblr Grows Through Users" Shared Interests. Tumblr theme Sites Like The Layout Shop Looking Forward to More Business.

Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) February 29, 2012

According to comScore’s Digital Future in Focus 2012 report, Tumblr comes in at only second to Facebook among social networking sites in terms of user engagement. This means users spend more time on Tumblr compared to other social networking sites outside of Facebook. It’s quickly becoming clear that it represents the future of blogging and social networking.

This development is especially promising for sites that offer products and services exclusively for Tumblr, like The LayoutShop.

Easy personalization, the best Tumblr themes, and the feed integration have spawned a developing trend in social networking where shared interests are the determining factor.

This momentum towards the interest graph is supported by comScore, stating that “networking around shared interests takes the main stage.” Social networking is becoming more about shared common interests rather than the individual users and their themes on Tumblr.

This, in part, may be a reaction to the many security and privacy issues that have continued to plague Facebook. Sharing on Tumblr can be done anonymously and the service requires no personal information other than an e-mail address.

This can also be attributed to Tumblr’s incredibly easy sharing, customization and layout shop features that are akin to blogging sites like Blogger and WordPress.

Tumblr’s use of a “feed” and blogging platform, creates a hub for users looking to share and re-share their interests instead of themselves online. Users “follow” other Tumbler blogs (or Tumblogs) that they like, and that blog’s most recent posts are displayed on the Tumblr feed.

This is the same system that Twitter uses, except Tumblr allows for more multimedia posts over regular text posts like on Twitter. Another of the sites most prominent features is the use of Tumblr themes that give your Tumblog a distinct look, effectively making it a personal website.

This process is made extremely easy for casual users, as knowledge in HTML or CSS coding is unnecessary in maintaining your Tumblog.

All these elements combined has given Tumblr, and similar sites like Pinterest, a distinct and unexpected edge over much larger competition like Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.

New trends are starting to emerge in internet social behavior. One in which the network’s connecting nodes are no longer represented by the individual users, but by those same users’ common “likes” and personalities.

The future of social networking is decidedly becoming a world of shared interests, and Tumblr is at the forefront of this new digital surge.

comScore is an internet marketing research company that provides marketing data and services to many large internet businesses. conScore tracks all internet data studying internet behavior, including social media.

World Population May Hit 15+ Billion by 2100 Says Author, More Than Twice Current Global Population: Disaster Looms

(PRWEB) June 04, 2012

Projections from the United Nations suggest that humans may number 10 billion by 2050 and 15 billion by the year 2100. Both of these statistics spell serious problems for a world having difficulty meeting the food and water needs of its current seven billion inhabitants, according to Canadian academic and author Steve Bareham.

Until recently, said Bareham, an instructor at Selkirk College, Nelson, B.C, the UN cited about nine billion by 2050 (see footnote*), then a levelling off and gradual decline, as global prosperity spread and as developing nations followed the lead of the developed countries toward fewer children per family. Evidence now, however, indicates fertility rates are not declining as expected in the developing countries, so the revision to the higher ranges has a lot more credence. If those come to pass, its difficult to imagine a better world for todays young people by 2050, let alone 2100.

Bareham discovered the little-known UN statistics while researching courses in cross cultural communication and conflict management. The research led to the release of two eBooks that draw attention to an issue that could be absolutely catastrophic within four decades. The books are titled PROGENETER, an acronym for progenetic enhancement & entropy termination. They are published through Summa Publishing.

In addition to food and water disparities, its likely that people will face worsening pollution, more dramatic climate change, socio-economic strife, growing inequities between developed and developing nations, and the extinction of thousands more animal species. While 15 billion is unfathomable, even the 10 billion number by 2050 is the equivalent of another China and another India, he said.

The epicentre of growth will be Africa; its population now stands at about one billion but is projected to reach 3.6 billion by 2100, and that continent already has problems supporting its peoples. Conversely, he notes, the Italians and several other European nationalities, are theoretically on their way to extinction because their birth rates have dropped below the 2.1 replacement ratio.

Many statisticians believe the higher population projections are likely to transpire, given the exponential growth of humans over time. Consider, said Bareham, that it took from the beginning of time until the year 1804 for one billion people to inhabit the earth. Then, human numbers exploded:

Tablets, Texting and Telephones: 4 Builder Tech Strategies for Converting More Prospects to Buyers

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) June 19, 2012

Rick Storlie of New Home Sales Coach, a firm that specializes helping home builders and remodelers reach their sales goals, looks at remodeler marketing and new home sales training differently than most.

“First and foremost a salesperson is responsible for their own success,” Storlie recently commented. “Sure we all represent builders, and sometimes the owner is the lead salesperson, but we’re really running our own personal services corporation.”

Storlie contends the typical builder sales representative focuses too much on their leads and prospects and not enough on themselves. He call this self focus a Return on Energy (ROE).

“As a salesperson I have more time than energy. So instead of focusing on time, which we all have the same amount, I focus on getting the greatest return on my energy,” said Storlie.

According to Storlie there are 4 specific tech tools home builders and remodelers can integrate into their sales process to maximize ones ROE.

Tech Tool #1- Online Surveys

“Salespeople spend way too much energy trying to get in front of prospects and not enough getting in front of the right prospects,” said Storlie. “When I take into consideration the preparation, drive time, meeting time and follow-up I may have used nearly all my focused energy in a day on one prospect meeting.”

Storlie claims more time needs to be spent qualifying the prospect via phone and utilizing online surveys. Online surveys, Storlie argues, allow a builder to dive into more intimate questions about the prospect’s current situation and goals for the project. And when a builder has asked the right questions on the phone and online, prior to the first meeting, home builder sales conversions go up.

Tech Tool #2- WordPress

WordPress is an open source blogging and now website platform that is free for anyone to use. It’s simple to update and load documents, photos and videos into it.

Driving prospects back to a WordPress blog or website to access documents, photos or videos, instead of attaching files or sending them to a third party site, allows a builder to track everything the prospect is doing outside of meetings. There’s no more wondering if prospects are engaged as the sales process moves forward.

Tech Tool #3- Tablets

“One of the things I’ve studied is how adults learn. The vast majority of builders rely on an auditory presentation and a notebook. The problem is only 10% of the adult population learns purely by listening!,” said Storlie.

Storlie likes the use of tablets for the other two adult learning styles- visual and kinesthetic. Since many builders today don’t have the luxury of multiple model homes to show different floor plans and motifs, a tablet allows a prospect to view photo and video galleries plus the builder can use visual aids to reinforce their value proposition.

Tech Tool #4- Ubix web automation software

Since 2010, Storlie along with his partner Rune Haugseon have been modifying proprietary software Haugseon developed in 2000. The software works in conjunction with the home builders sales process to track prospect activity between meetings and the efficiency of the salesperson’s efforts.

A builder now knows how engaged prospects are and can identify any weak points in their sales process so they can maximize ROE.

On Thursday June 21st Storlie will be elaborating on all four tech tools and identifying when, where and how they should be integrated into a builder’s sales process.

What: Tablets, Texting and Telephones: 4 Builder Tech Strategies for Converting More Prospects to Buyers (webinar)

Storlie has created a sales and marketing Scorecard that will tell any home builder or remodeler how well they’re tapping into technology. The Scorecard takes 2 minutes, builders will get an immediate score and see how they compare to their builder peers. Home builders can get their Scorecard by clicking here. Remodelers can get their Scorecard by clicking here.
